I started working at Continuum Pedicure, a company under Earthlite, on April 4th, 2022. I moved to California on September 20th, 2022, which means it's almost been two years since the big move. I took this job mainly because of James Chenevey, the CEO of Earthlite. I had the opportunity to visit him before starting my job, and he is one of the most sincere people I've ever met. During our conversation, I might have avoided some questions and my responses could have come across as rude from my perspective. However, we both shared the same goal, to turn Continuum Pedicure and LEC Pedicure into one of the top pedicure spa manufacturers.

After moving to California, my first day at work felt like the first day of school. Meeting everyone in the office and warehouse felt a bit awkward initially, but everyone welcomed me with smiles and treated me very well. This place has now become my new home.

We now have a new investor for Earthlite, which will get us to a new level. We are more focused than ever on hitting our company's goal of becoming the top pedicure chair manufacturer in the world.

Being a successful boss requires more than just making decisions and giving orders; it demands a clear, grounded perspective on reality. This clarity is crucial in maintaining trust and fostering a healthy work environment. Trusting in employees' capabilities and cultivating an atmosphere of open communication are fundamental to effective leadership. Conversely, when a boss becomes delusional, holding onto unrealistic beliefs or refusing to accept feedback, it can have severe repercussions for both the leader and the organization.

1. **Poor Decision Making**: Delusional bosses often make decisions based on their distorted perception of reality rather than on facts and data. This can lead to poor strategic choices, misallocation of resources, and missed opportunities.

2. **Lack of Accountability**: When a boss is delusional, they may refuse to acknowledge their mistakes or shortcomings. This lack of accountability can create a toxic work environment where blame is shifted onto others or genuine issues are ignored.

3. **Damaged Morale**: Employees under a delusional boss may feel frustrated, demotivated, or even gaslit. When their concerns are dismissed or their efforts are undervalued due to the boss's unrealistic expectations or beliefs, morale can plummet.

4. **Lost Trust and Respect**: Trust and respect are foundational for effective leadership. A delusional boss who consistently demonstrates poor judgment or irrational behavior risks losing the trust and respect of their team members, peers, and superiors.

5. **Stifled Innovation and Growth**: Innovation thrives in environments where diverse perspectives are valued and constructive criticism is welcomed. A delusional boss may stifle innovation by disregarding alternative viewpoints or discouraging honest feedback.

6. **Increased Turnover**: Employees are less likely to stay in a company where they feel their contributions are undervalued or where they face constant uncertainty due to erratic leadership. High turnover rates can be costly and disrupt productivity.

7. **Reputation Damage**: A delusional boss can harm the organization's reputation both internally and externally. Internally, it may be seen as a place where career growth is limited and frustrations are high. Externally, it may affect the company's attractiveness to potential employees and business partners.

In summary, while confidence and vision are important traits for any leader, a delusional boss operates in a reality divorced from facts and evidence, leading to detrimental effects on the organization's performance, culture, and overall success. Therefore, maintaining a realistic perspective and fostering trust in employees' abilities are essential for effective leadership and organizational health. Ignoring these principles may slowly close your business's doors to sustainable growth and success. When you realize what has happened, it will be too late, and all your important employees may no longer be by your side.

Half of my life has been dedicated to the world of Pedicure Spa manufacturing, and boy, does time fly when you're doing what you love! 💅

In the early days of my career, my focus was primarily on catering to nail supplies, and serving the needs of nail and hair salons. But around 2010, an exciting opportunity came knocking – I had the privilege to collaborate with Connie Weissling, former CEO of European Touch, during her Spafinity venture. It was an experience that left a lasting impression on me.

During that period, the company I was with offered Connie a higher-end pedicure chair tailored for the hotel and resort market. It was an intriguing time for me because I made a personal commitment to outshine her. While Connie focused on selling to the Resort and Spa market, I directed my efforts toward serving higher-end nail and hair salons. It became a silent competition in my mind – a challenge to see who could excel the most. But this friendly rivalry served as a powerful motivator, driving me to push myself even harder in pursuit of success. 💪

With a renewed sense of purpose, my sights were set on a new goal – to install pedicure spas in the top Las Vegas hotels. It became the driving force behind my professional endeavors, propelling me forward for 10 years from my previous job to my current role at Continuum Pedicure Spa.

Today, as I reflect on this journey, I find a sense of closure in the realization that my goal has been achieved. The proof is in the successful placement of pedicure spas in some of the most prestigious hotels in Las Vegas.

None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support and collaboration of individuals like Ryan Martelli at Telli Industries. Ryan has been my trusted business partner for many years, working together turned my goal into reality.

I am immensely grateful for his dedication and commitment, and I look forward to continuing our fruitful partnership as we embark on new endeavors together. Here's to achieving dreams and setting new heights!

I'm so excited to share the incredible story of Sugarcoat, now a favorite nail salon in Atlanta! 💖 I had the chance to talk with the amazing owner, Peiru Kim, both before and during the tough times of COVID.

When things got really tough, Peiru didn't back down, she actually took charge of TWO nail salons in Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza in Atlanta! 🤝 These were owned by someone I knew. I asked her, "Can you handle this during such a hard time?" And guess what? She confidently said, "I can do it, and I can do it better." 💪💖

Now, here we are, and Sugarcoat is not just surviving, it's thriving under Peiru's leadership. 🚀✨ Let's give a big shoutout to this incredible woman, her strong spirit, and the amazing success of Sugarcoat Atlanta! 🎉💖

🌿 Visiting Glen Ivy Hot Springs for some maintenance work on their pedicure chairs today! 🔧 We've changed what needed to be changed, and now those chairs are working like a dream. 💆‍♀️💅 I must say, I wish I had the time to soak in their rejuvenating hot springs! 🌊

🚀✈️ An oldie but a goodie: When JetBlue Was My Commute and Holiday Inn Express Was Home! 😂

Back in the golden era of 2004-2008, my life was basically a never-ending episode of "JetBlue: The Sitcom" and "Holiday Inn Express: My Sweet Home." 🏨✈️

JetBlue wasn't just an airline; it was my daily commuter bus! ✈️ I mean, who needs a car when you can hop on a plane to work, right? 🚌 And as for my accommodation of choice, the Holiday Inn Express, it was basically my second home. 🏠

Remember when JetBlue built its mega hub at JFK? It was like they knew I needed a direct flight to visit my distributors across the land! 🌎✈️ I'd zoom off to meet them every week, but one distributor in San Jose, California, took the cake 🍰 (or should I say, the pedicure chair?). They'd order entire trailers of those comfy pedicure chairs every other week, and by the time the trailers reached their warehouse, those chairs were hotter than hotcakes at a brunch buffet! 🛋️🥞

Once a month, I'd jet off to San Jose for some serious chair-saving heroics. 😎 I'd work my magic, fix all those pedicure chair issues, and then party it up with my distributor buddies at night. 🎉

But wait, here's the kicker: on my last day, it was collection day. 🤑 And let me tell you, it felt like a scene from a Hollywood gangster movie. 💰 They'd stroll into their warehouse with garbage bags full of cash like they just robbed the world's fanciest Monopoly bank! 💼💵

Now, the real moral of this story isn't about the cash, I promise! 😂 It's about the incredible friends and partners I've made along the way. My distributors have always had my back, supporting me like family. 🤗 Some of them are like close friends, others are like big brothers and sisters, and a few, well, they're basically my partners-in-crime (or partners-in-chair, you might say). 💺

Cheers to the good old days of JetBlue and Holiday Inn Express, and to the distributors who turned into lifelong friends and family! 🥂💼✈️
