We say so long to February this weekend. Here are a few things to look forward to in March . . .

1. Daylight Saving Time starts next Sunday, March 9th. You'll lose an hour of sleep that night, but it won't get dark so early anymore. Then March 20th is the first day of spring.

2. It's almost March Madness time. Selection Sunday is March 16th. Then the men get started on the 18th, and the women's tournament starts up the next day.

The new Major League Baseball season also starts in a few weeks. The Cubs and Dodgers play the first series in Japan starting March 18th. Opening Day for everyone else is March 27th.

3. Other stuff on TV: The Oscars are this Sunday . . . "Grey's Anatomy" and "9-1-1" return the 6th . . . "American Idol" and "The Righteous Gemstones" are back on the 9th . . . John Mulaney's live Netflix talk show premieres the 12th . . .
. . Bill Burr's new standup special hits Hulu the 14th . . . Seth Rogen's new Apple TV series "The Studio" starts the 26th . . . "Bosch: Legacy" is back the 27th . . . and "The Simpsons" returns for its 37th season on March 30th.

4. In theaters: Robert Pattinson's sci-fi space thriller "Mickey 17" lands next Friday. The Steven Soderbergh spy thriller "Black Bag" comes out the 14th. And Disney's new live-action "Snow White" opens March 21st.

5. And finally, the holidays: The big ones are Ramadan, which starts tonight . . . The 4th is Fat Tuesday (Mardi Gras) … Lent starts next Wednesday . . . March 8th is International Women's Day . . . Purim starts the 13th . . . and the 17th is St. Patrick's Day.

There's also National Cereal Day on March 7th . . . National Ranch Dressing Day on the 10th . . . Pi Day on March 14th . . . National Puppy Day on the 23rd and Waffle Day on the 25th.

People are listing things that were once hyped as "THE NEXT BIG THING" . . . but flopped, and are now forgotten or are collecting dust somewhere.

Here are some highlights:

1. Google+. The "Facebook killer" . . . that died itself.

2. 3D TVs. Also: Curved televisions.

3. Quibi. Which was supposed to "change streaming forever."

4. The Metaverse. Remember when EVERYONE was talking about it?

5. Zune. Microsoft tried to challenge Apple's iPod . . . and lost.

6. The Segway. It's been 20 years since we were told we'd be seeing these EVERYWHERE.

7. Google Glasses. This concept still feels like it has potential, but Google couldn't get them to take off 10 years ago.

8. CueCat. These came out in the early years of the internet, and could scan special barcodes from magazines . . . to load webpages on a computer. (Unlike QR codes, these devices needed to be plugged into your PC.)

9. HouseParty. A remote gaming app from the pandemic quarantine.

10. Sega Dreamcast. One of the gaming consoles that didn't catch on.

11. Threads. It was supposed to replace Twitter (or X). And now, a lot of it is just engagement phishing.

12. VR. They keep trying to make it happen, but it's never gone mainstream.

13. Crystal Pepsi. Although the nostalgia is strong.

14. Fake meat. It has gone mainstream, and it has potential for more . . . but there's one big failure: It's still expensive.

A TikToker put out a parody song of Ella Langley and Riley Green's hit "You Look Like You Love Me" and it's worth checking out. Except she changed the lyrics to, "Excuse me, you look like you're ugly."

And the best part is Ella saw the video and approved. She commented, "Haha, yes love." To which Katy replied, "LOLLL omg hi love you".

30.2K likes, 241 comments. “Just some alternate lyrics for Langley to consider”

We dial differently starting today!

Area code 357 has been added to the 559 area to keep up with the demand for phone numbers.

What does this mean for you? Starting today, you need to dial the area code AND phone number when making local calls on your cell phone. If you still have a landline, you will need to add a 1 before the area code. Pricing for calls will NOT change.

Is flirting with someone else "cheating"? A new poll of 2,000 adults found half of Americans would potentially DUMP you for it.

51% said they might end a relationship over what some would call "harmless flirting." Especially if it felt like the person tried to hide it.

60% said chatting with an ex is over the line too.

66% also wouldn't care if they found out you danced with someone else.

Most said letting someone buy you a drink also isn't a big deal.
