Took some time to really tune the gimbal, now it is butter smooth, flight test to follow.
Heres a project I've been working on in my free time for about a month, it's a 3D map of a local skyscraper. I used over 700 pictures and it took 4 days to render out, with an additional 2 days to optimize it and line everything up. Im still going to need some more pictures to get everything looking good and this is just the rough outline, the detailed model is being rendered right now.
So Pix4D made a huge update to their system. my first attempt at this fountain took over 100 pictures and the statue itself still didn't come out. This new clip was with only 50 pictures and as you can see the statue has come out perfectly. Amazing software and cant wait to be able to use it back in the states.
Heres another one of a power station, used 110 pictures on it. One half i was able to do a double pattern but ran out of batteries for the other half. but it turned out a lot better then expected.
A new service I will be experimenting with out here to bring back stateside, full 3D mapping. I now have software to take still photos and render them out in full 3D. Very cool software and can't wait to experiment some more. This is of a fountain right outside of my place, total time was about 1 hour to setup, fly, and render out.
Here was the final test we did for the day, the beginning I'm walking backwards down the stairs, no post stabilization was used as all. More testing to come in the next few days and actual filming to begin this weekend.
