Big day in the studio! 🎶 Cassidy laid down vocals for her debut single, with the incredible George Scott from Scott Studio coaching her through every note. Allen Bays produced and engineered this Irish folk-country track, capturing her vocals with a Neumann TLM 103 and running it through a UAD 610 preamp and compressor for that warm, rich tone. Can’t wait for you all to hear it! 🍀🎤

We love new clients! 🎶✨

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of recording Cassidy Watkinson’s debut single—her first time ever in the studio! It was an incredible session, and Allen co-wrote, produced, and engineered this Irish/folk/country-inspired track alongside an amazing team of musicians on drums and upright bass: Caleb Benner 🥁 and Nick Mitchell 🎻.

Soon, our favorite Nashville violinist, Jacob Naggy (from Kameron Marlowe’s band), will add his magic to the track. Then, Stuart McCloud will be handling all the post-production in the coming weeks! 💪🏻

Fun day tracking some upright bass with my friend Nick! 🎻 We ran his pickup through our UA 610 for some classic tube warmth, then captured the body with a Neumann TLM 103 on the F-hole and a Royer 121 on the bridge for added brightness. Both mics ran through our UAD 4-710 for that sweet analog character. Can’t wait to mix this one! 🎶 ”

Tracking some beautiful acoustic tones in the studio this week! Our 1970 Martin D-28 is singing through a Neumann TLM 103 on the 12th fret and a KM 184 on the body, running through the UAD 4-710d with 1176-style compression. The blend of vintage warmth, detailed transients, and smooth dynamics makes for a rich and balanced tone. Loving how this setup captures every nuance! 🎸 🎙️
