Turning defense into offense is something that every coach strives to have their team do, and Lincoln’s boys pulled off that strategy to perfection Wednesday against Shoals at Alice Arena.

The Alices forced 11 turnovers in the first period, including nine steals, and they racked up the game’s first 20 points on their way to a 60-23 dismantling of the Jug Rox.

South Knox’s balanced offensive attack put in nine 3-pointers, but the defense was just as impressive, as the Class 2A No. 3 Spartans limited Rivet to single digits in each period on their way to 64-19 Blue Chip Conference girls basketball win at Holscher Gym on Monday.
