ANNOUNCEMENT:

Due to a rather inconvenient power outage, there will be no live RockFest until tomorrow night. Classic Album of the Week will be announced tomorrow. Eddie Trunk's guests will be singer Myles Kennedy (Slash, Alter Bridge) and Rick Medlocke (Blackfoot, Lynyrd Skynyrd).

Should the outage end later on, Dan Bongino and SGT Report will be aired in their entirety.

Once again, apologies....I had forgotten that this is the time of year when "Quite Frankly" host Frank makes his week-long trip to the Adirondacks! This means no new shows this week. So, this being the case, I'll get a recently broadcast show up and going ASAP after posting this post! Also on tap for today...double episodes of Dan Bongino (to begin at 5 E / 4 C instead of its usual airing time of 6 E / 5 C), and that'll be caught up with, to be followed by today's Dark to Light, if there is one lol...and then later on tonight, double episodes of the increasingly popular "SGT Report!" That should catch us up! Sometimes, life throws even radio stations curveballs! Sorry about any inconvenience! Thanks to all of you who listen! ❤

Usually, I let the comedy you hear on the show between sets take center stage twice a year on a show I call "ComedyFest." But back in April of this year, somehow, "Vol. 11, Part 1" did not get aired. And so tonight, it's going to be just "ComedyFest, Vol. 11" with classic comedians doing long-form routines guaranteed to make you laugh, if you have a funnybone at all in your body! As always, I'll provide some rockers to begin each hour, so tune in and have a few chuckles on me!

Then, the Classic Album of the Week returns for its Sept. 2024 - May 2025 run with Black Sabbath's 1990 album "Tyr" (2024 Remaster)!

The Summer Concert Series normally ends with what is called a "blowout," which means a full show of live concert album tracks by 8 different artists. Tonight, the blowout is from Sept. 2023, which is a good one I think you'll enjoy!

From there, we'll take it straight to Eddie Trunk, with guest, Motley Crue guitarist John 5, making for a halfway decent bedtime afterward! Next week, the Classic Album of the Week will return with Black Sabbath's "Tyr" after this year's only "ComedyFest" is finished!

JUST A NOTE...

The Labor Day Weekend Blowout show, which is the actual end of the Summer Concert Series, is usually live. But because I have to work Monday (Labor Day) evening, and since my priority show, The RockFest, was moved to Tuesday, however temporary or not, I may run last year's Blowout. It was a good one, and besides, Labor Day will be over for almost a full day by the time I could do it live, so last September's Blowout ought to do nicely. After it runs, I'll let Eddie Trunk take it away to the end of the evening. The Classic Album of the Week returns the following weekend after this year's only 'ComedyFest.'

Tonight's RockFest is LIVE, HARD N' HEAVY! The second of your two-fers!

The Summer Concert Series finally winds down after 3 months with a band who is, sadly, no longer together, but did put out a pretty decent live album in 2006. The final concert album for 2024 is Cinderella's "Live At The Key Club!" I hope you enjoyed all the live albums this past summer! Next year, we'll do it all over again!

Eddie Trunk was not available on the feed this week, for some reason or another, so tonight, I'm going to substitute Eddie with a recent "Iron City Rocks" episode, featuring drummers Chris Slade (ex-AC/DC) and Carmine Appice (Cactus, ex-Vanilla Fudge, ex-Blue Murder)!

The Summer Concert Series has two weeks left before the Labor Day Weekend celebration, so tonight's concert album will be the next to the last for the 2024 summer season, and it's going to be Def Leppard's "Mirror Ball" from 2011!

PROGRAM NOTES...

1. Sorry about not getting "Quite Frankly" up on time. Life happens, and sometimes, other things take precedence, but, as often as I can get it done, the show will go on at Noon E / 11 AM C...

2. My workplace has changed, and so will the schedule for The RockFest. From this coming Sunday, to late October, The RockFest will be aired on Tuesday evenings at the same it has been aired on Sunday nights. Just a couple of months, and it will return to Sunday nights.

3. Are you liking Dark To Light? If so, let us know in the comments!

4. I am thinking about adding another patriot show, but this one will air late at night Monday - Thursday, to keep it out of the way of our main product, rock n' roll! Details to come!
