UNFORTUNATELY...

The slave drive that holds my music is having a bit of a connection problem. I'll have to correct that problem tomorrow, which will necessitate my having to move the first live RockFest broadcast of 2025 to tomorrow night. My apologies to our listeners for any inconvenience this may cause. Instead, tonight, please enjoy this past Friday's "Quite Frankly" broadcast, right after Bongino, and later on at Midnight E / 11 C, it's the "SGT Report" to round out the evening! OOPSIE!

Well, we have our first oopsie of 2025 lol...I completely messed up in my scheduling! Now, I'll have to put off the first live RockFest of the year till next Tuesday, where it really should have been scheduled to begin with! As a bonus, a couple of Eddie Trunk podcasts I otherwise couldn't have aired on late Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning will be aired in the evening a couple of times this week, so you don't have to miss them! Stay tuned!

THE END OF AN ERA...

This morning, I will air the very last 2 episodes of Dark to Light, the first featuring "Quite Frankly" host Frank, then the short second one with just Beanz, I suspect as a farewell, with info regarding the new show, beginning Feb. 1st, which SteelCage Rock Radio will be carrying.

The I will air the last "Quite Frankly" "Year In Review" episode of 2024.

All beginning at 11 AM E / 10 AM C.

HEY LISTENERS...

I've received requests for a re-broadcast of "A RockFest Christmas" that I originally aired live on the 17th.

I've never done any sort of broadcast near Christmas in all my 14 years with this station. And it may be the only time I get a chance to do so on Christmas Eve, but it's definitely a first for me, so those who requested it....as well as those who would like to listen again...tune in at 7 E/6 C, and I'll air it one more time!

FROM THE DESK OF STEELCAGE ROCK RADIO, TEXAS BRANCH:

I hope everyone who listened to my live "A RockFest Christmas" last night, enjoyed it! If you didn't hear your favorite rockin' Christmas tune, I regret it, but at least I have an entire year to make it up to ya! See? All is not lost!

Can hardly believe another year has passed for the station as well the staff. I've been with Ray for almost 15 years now. He's a great friend, as well as a brother to me, and has been in all those years we've been 'spinning' rock n' roll together. He's got some big plans for the station. I'm not sure what they are, so I have no comment lol

Since last night was the last night of the year for a RockFest broadcast in the remaining days of 2024, I will not be able to totally 'hibernate' this year's end, as I do produce and engineer all the patriot shows, although I have no idea what their holiday schedules are. I may get a decent break, not sure yet.

Anyway, aside from that, I'm still taking my year-end, 2-week hiatus. The RockFest will return with a live show Jan. 7th, plus, I'll air my picks for The 5 Best New Rock Songs of 2024, and the Classic Album of the Week will return! I'm gonna kick '25 off with a bang, y'all! Till then...May the blessings of Christmas be yours this year, and may you all have a joyous and prosperous New Year! Thank you all deeply for being our listeners!

TENTATIVE HOLIDAY PLANS FOR THE TEXAS STUDIO...

I don't know what shows will be doing what this year, but I will definitely let you know as best I can. However, there will be no shows or music coming from the Texas studio on Thursday, the 28th, Thanksgiving Day. I''m taking that day completely off to be with friends and family this year. Which, ideally, is the way it should be. Not everyone can do that, and we here at the station completely understand. But we do hope everyone has a Good Thanksgiving, and gives God thanks for the opportunity He has given this nation.

As far as the 3 Christmas shows this year...I usually do all 3 live every year. But this year, I may just do one live show and just fill it with every Christmas song I have in my mp3 library, do the final songs of the night as I do each year, and let that be the only one I do this year. Been doing this DJ thing for 18 years altogether, 14 of them right here at the SteelCage, and never once have I taken a break and just enjoyed the month of December, and my favorite holiday, Christmas without having to play Christmas shows for once. I'll set up some older Christmas shows for the final 2 shows and just let then run till they're done and let that be it for this holiday season. I'll still try to provide you with some Chriistmas cheer anyway!
