As big as golf ball sized hail in Verdigre just moments ago.
The kolach eating contest was a lot of fun Sunday. It's harder to eat fast than a person would think!
Angie and the Polka Toons are sounding great, as usual!
Nancy Pavelka
Verdigre Community Chorus Accompanist Nancy Pavelka wanted to do her solo to Kid Rock’s song, “All Summer Long,” but couldn’t find sheet music for it. So what happened next? She wrote out the music for it by herself! Here is Nancy playing from memory. Cue goosebumps!

P.S. Blame SiriusXM for the Culture Club. It wasn't my choice, either.
Printing, perforating and cutting Kolach Days raffle tickets means it's about that time! Look for Kolach Day King & Queen hopefuls to be out selling in the near future. We'll be sure to announce the candidates as soon as we have a list and photos.
The same birds we caught flying south for the winter across South Dakota Highway 52 are now headed north across the same stretch of road, just a couple miles west from their last crossing.
I suppose they have their favorite pit stops on such a long journey, and if it's not broke, don't fix it.
We're partway through bench press at the Verdigre Powerlifting Meet with deadlift yet to go. A long, but fun day is guaranteed.
Go, Cougars!
