Intensity, focus, and drive.

When looking for an image to sum up the past year, I kept coming back to this one. This one moment in time sticks in my head. I don’t really know why, but out of all of the days and all the images I captured, from the ducks to retrievers to hunts, this is the one for me. Maybe it was because I was surrounded by fellow veterans during the annual waterfowl hunt at . Maybe it was the excitement and rounds of congratulatory praise at the lodge as everyone gathered around and listened to talk about the opportunity to take this Oklahoma giant.

Or, perhaps, it was simply witnessing the unmistakable bond between hunters.

I’m not sure what it was, but I am thankful and look forward to another year behind the camera.
