Real Blast from the Past memory, semi-long intro ... was cleaning out boxes stored in the studio, came across a few old VHS tapes π² I had saved from my first Post Production mixing and sound editing/design gig-days at Glen Glenn Sound, working on TV shows... One of them was a 1977-78 Saturday morning kid's variety show put together by the late-great Chris Bearde (really amazing guy and truly missed)...the show was called "WACKO"... he gave me full control of what off-the-wall sound creations I wanted to make for the show, as well as the mixing. Most weeks he had a guest musical performance of note, and usually I'd get the actual 24 track tape source material to mix those songs down from scratch - 'first time I'd even done something like that for Television, though many more Music specials came after that !! Long story longer, I couldn't play those VHS tapes, (too old and don't have a working VHS player anymore) but I noticed several of the Wacko tape labels were noted with bands I had mixed down for the show... of them was Dwight Twilly... so I did an online search and some of those performances had been transferred elsewhere by someone and available, albeit really BAD resolution and pretty poor audio compared to the original... having said that, pretty fun/cool memory I'd forgotten mostly about mixing, from raw source tracks... especially since....
-** CHECK THIS OUT - the long-haired blonde guy playing bass? ...-That's TOM PETTY !!! ππ€
