The Mad Hatter Queen's Royal Court Stage is gearing up to dazzle and delight at the crossroads of Georgia and Sacramento Streets, right along the parade route! 🌟 Starting at 2 PM, the Queen herself will crown our Grand Marshal, the sensational LaRussell, alongside a host of other VIPs as they take their rightful places in the whimsical Wonderland Kingdom. 👑🎶

Calling all Solano County educators, non-profit organizations, libraries, and homeschoolers working with 9th-12th graders! The Poetry Out Loud Competition is an incredible opportunity to participate in a nationwide celebration of poetry that offers national prizes.
State Awards: Each state winner will receive $200 and an all-expenses-paid trip (with an adult chaperone) to Washington, DC, to compete at the National Finals. The state winners representing the school or organization will receive $500 for poetry materials. One runner-up in each state will receive $100; their school/ organization will receive $200 to purchase poetry materials.
National Awards: The Poetry Out Loud National Finals will award $50,000 in awards and school or organizational stipends, including a $20,000 award for the National Champion.
Students will select poems from PoetryOutLoud.org, bringing their unique voices to life on stage.
In partnership with the National Endowment of the Arts, Poetry Foundation, and Solano County Arts Council. The clock is ticking - register soon! Please feel free to contact me for more details about registration and participation in Solano County.

HAPPENING TODAY!!!! If you didn't get to register early, that's okay; come on down. We are accepting registrations at the door!
The fun begins at 2:00 PM. There will be craft tables for the restless. If you want to volunteer to help, let us know at the door. There will also be family-friendly films for the entire family; all ages will enjoy the films. Come spend the afternoon with us!!!

It is a beautiful collection of poetic thoughts, feelings, and inspirations from youth participating with Vallejo Teaching Artists (VTA) under the guidance of Kathleen Herrmann and our joint Youth Poetry Letters workshop activities. We'd like to thank VTA for their participation and can't wait for you to be inspired by the creativity and talent of our local youth.
