Sometimes when get lucky enough to do what you love to do, for me it’s a full time wedding DJ, the stars align perfectly to create some magical wedding moments. You see part of the wedding DJ’s job is to create memorable moments that will last a lifetime, not just play the music, anybody can do that.
At this beautiful wedding at White Oak Manor, it turned out that the entire catering staff were either retired or currently serving and protecting us in the U.S. Coast Guard, how cool is that!! And if that wasn’t enough, the Groom is not only a Deputy serving and protecting us in Hanover County but is also currently serving in the U.S. National Guard. I was able to create a few moments of recognition and camaraderie which were very special not only to me, but for the guests as well. The whole crowd was chanting USA with tears in their eyes, as the group of guardsmen sang Toby Keith’s “Couertsy of the Red, White, and Blue”
Of course the Bride was stunning, the floral arrangements and wedding coordination by The Butterfly Rose Florist & Gift Shop were both perfect, and the venue, well let’s just say absolutely breathtaking.
So Cheers to The Hoopers, not here for a long time, but here for a good time!

What a fun time celebrating the new Mr. And Mrs. Zach Currin! It was such an Honor and Privilege to be included in this wonderful night filled with Love, Family and Friends. It’s been so fun from coaching Zach in baseball to watching him grow into the fine young man he is today, and Bailey was such a beautiful Bride!
We also enjoyed a delicious meal by Hermie Sadler's Fo Sho Bar and Grille, the fried chicken was the best anywhere around!

Earth Wind and Fire’s song “September” set the stage for a beautiful wedding last night, and I will never forget the “21st night of September” in Blackstone Virginia.
The Brides Father suprised everyone by officiating a heartfelt, emotional ceremony, and not even could a flash flood rain storm stop the party!

What a beautiful love story that has taken this awesome couple on a 12 year journey!
Pat & Jenn met at University 12 years ago in Australia and immediately fell in love. As life does sometimes, it took them down different roads and paths, but lead them back to each other. Earlier this year in March they were married in Australia but also wanted to have a ceremony here on beautiful Lake Gaston for their family and friends that couldn’t make it across the pond in March.
Last night I made new friends, played some fun Australian music, heard new expressions, and watched a true love story unfold in front of my eyes. It was such a wonderful a wonderful experience.
As Cyndi Kemblowski Soroka and her husband Tom toasted the newlyweds, the theme was “be proud of your story!” What a wonderful message.
Please help me celebrate the love story of Jenn and Pat, and wish them many more years of love and happiness!

I am so lucky to be able to live here at Lake Gaston full time and do what I enjoy doing, DJ’ing weddings!!!
There is no other backdrop for a wedding that is as beautiful as Lake Gaston and this wedding last Saturday night at WatersView Restaurant is proof of that. Their staff hit it out of the park with a delicious meal and tasty cocktails. Then add on top of that the legendary lead singer of the Feature Attraction Band, Greg Browder, and you got yourself a party!
This wedding was the third one in a row with live music as part of the ceremony and it is an awesome touch. If you are interested in adding that feature, then I recommend a very talented guitar player and good friend, Ray Martin Music. Ray has played for me personally and he is an awesome talent who can play anything! Book us both for an awesome night and a magical ceremony.

Had an awesome time last night at Waverly Estate Event Venue and Bed and Breakfast celebrating the new Mr. And Mrs McKinnley Verlick, UVA alumni! This venue offers an quaint little chapel as well as an awesome reception hall to satisfy all of your wedding needs. Rachel and her staff did an awesome job navigating thru the rainy weather challenges. The BBQ by Mission BBQ was off the chain good!
Another trend I’m seeing is live music for the ceremony as this couple had a live guitar and violin player for special ceremony songs, and I phave all the necessary equipment to care of all the necessary hookups.

Let us tell you about our wonderful buying experience with Hardee Ford in South Hill!
Thanks to all the love and support shown to us by all of Lake Country. Our little business that we started back in December, Maid & Muscle on LKG, has called for a new, bigger, cleaning mobile for Terry.
We were passing thru South Hill Tuesday and a beautiful white Ford Bronco caught our eye so we whipped into the lot and were greeted with a smile by none other than Chris Hardee himself. We gathered some info and returned on Wednesday for a test drive where Kenston Hardee answered every question we had and explained all the vehicles features. We went inside to discuss a few things and were greeted with a firm handshake by Denny Hardee himself! Every employee that we saw greeted us with a smile and we knew right away that this was the right dealership for us!
Today at pickup we were greeted and thanked for our business by Ashley Cox Hardee. Do you see a pattern here? After owning a family operated business we appreciated talking with the owners and enjoyed their commitment to a seamless, positive buying experience.
Hardee Ford is large enough to have a great selection of vehicles but yet small enough to personally know all of their customers. The Hardee’s family commitment to South Hill and our community from sponsoring ball teams, sports clinics, numerous charity events and their support of Hometown Christmas is to be commended.

I had such a special night Saturday at Cooper's Landing Inn & Traveler's Tavern in Clarksville as wedding DJ for this amazing VT Hokie couple. If you are looking for a special, quaint wedding venue then this is it. The food was delicious and the staff was so easy to work with!
