What a FANTASTIC SPRING RECITAL we had last weekend! Crossroad’s Church Connection building was packed with a hundred and fifty plus friends, parents and relatives of our performers! Thank you Crossroads and Matt Gay for allowing us to use your facilities and your excellent tech & sound aka Timothy Stroud! About half of our students were able participate this year!
Here are a few pictures. I’ll post a few snippets of their performances in my next post! We so love all of these wonderful students and their families! They are remarkable in every way and we count ourselves to be so BLESSED to be able to instruct them!

It was delightful meeting the Josh and Christina Batson girls today! Natalie is taking voice and Henley is taking piano lessons. They had an excellent first lesson and we can already tell that they are going to be great students! The Batsons have five girls all together and are part of a growing number of homeschool families in our area! We are so happy to welcome them to our Valdosta Music family!!! 💕💕😮

My husband and I have been teaching music for over 35 years. My name is Debra and I teach voice and piano and was classically trained. Bill teachers guitar, piano, banjo, bass, ukulele and mandolin and his mother was a classical pianist who also taught lessons here for many years.

I have been a homeschooler so we particularly love teaching homeschoolers! We can fit them in during earlier times during the day, we teach from 10:00 until 7:30, instead of them having to vie for those after school times!

Also, for multiple children or a parent in one family Bill can teach one while I teach the other which saves on your time! (and we have a park three houses down! 🤗).

We teach classical, contemporary and Christian worship including hymns. Many of our students play for their churches or are worship leaders, as we have been for many years and so we are very familiar with that area of music. We also love to have them be able to play songs and sing together. We both teach kids how to sightsing and sightread music, music theory AND to play by chords and within a group.

We teach in our home studio and also have a recording studio on site! We have the ability to record our students, make karaoke tracks and record and publish your or your child’s songs for keepsakes or for family gifts!
