Dave’s 12-year-old daughter has been taking gymnastics lessons at the same gym for almost five years. In that time, he’s gotten to know one of his daughter’s coaches Laurel and he’s impressed by her to say the least. Dave’s daughter is serious about her training and competition, so he’s hesitant to do anything that would upset that, but he’s been thinking about asking Laurel out on a date. Is this something he should run this by his daughter first? Or should he give up any idea about dating Laurel to prevent any awkward situations if it doesn’t work out?

Linda is in a big argument with her roommate right now because she is letting her friend, who Linda doesn’t know, stay in their apartment while she is away for two weeks for the holidays.

She didn’t ask, she just told Linda “My friends going to stay in my room while I’m away I just gave her the keys to the apartment”. Linda told her to get them back or she will change the locks.

She swore up and down that her friend was a good person she just is in between apartments right now. Linda told her she’s sorry for her troubles but she doesn’t want to live with someone she doesn’t know for two weeks just because they are friends. And they can't be that good of friends because Linda has never met her.

Both their names are on the lease, was Linda wrong to not want this other woman to stay for two weeks. Linda is not going to be there much either with the holidays.

Jessica’s cousin is 27 years old and chronically single because she never gives guys a chance that don’t look like muscle-bound fitness models. She’s a pretty girl but delusional because she’s not a fitness model herself and doesn’t even workout.

All she does is complain that she can't meet someone even though guys ask her out all the time especially online. Then the guys that she likes dump her after a few dates because she’s needy and wants a relationship right away.

So Jessica told her she needed to lower her standards and she didn’t take it very well. She thought Jessica was telling her to settle but she wasn’t. Jessica told her she doesn’t need to only go out with guys her cousin thinks are tens. Jessica told her to try a few sevens and eights, maybe they have more to offer than the tens.

Her cousin told Jessica she was a bad friend and a bad cousin and to stay out of her personal life from now on. Was Jessica in the wrong?

Katie loves her parents, but they are the worst and totally miserable almost all of the time. When they’re not doing the jobs that they hate or spending time with people they don’t like, they’re arguing with each other about stuff that’s not important. Katie knows they used to be happy, but she’s never seen it. Katie wouldn’t even know where to begin to try and help them, and with going home for Christmas next week for two weeks she’s dreading being around them again and she hates thinking like that. Katie does love her parents but she knows that she doesn’t want to end up like them. Is being around them more likely to make her end up being like them or is it a good guide on how to NOT live her life? How should she handle the holidays?

Came across this thread online (don’t know if this is the story the Instagram reel was referring to) of a couple who had been dating for a few years and she really wanted to get engaged, always dropping hints and whatnot and it finally happened recently and she was so excited until he finally gave her the paperwork to keep for the jewelry store and come to find out he bought it over a year ago. Now she wants an explanation of why he waited so long. It wasn’t an elaborate proposal it could’ve been done anytime. She’s asked him was I not behaving good enough for you, was I being too headstrong for your liking and you withheld the proposal as punishment? She feels like he’s playing games and he won’t give her a straight answer. He said he just waited until the time was right. That’s BS. Is she entitled to a more elaborate explanation? Her friends and family say she should just be happy they’re finally engaged and can start to plan their life together.
