Cohos Trail Day 12 (Oct. 11th) - It is finished!

Who guessed it? More rain 🤣

Today was an easy day. And well deserved! 6 miles to the border, and 5 were snowmobile track! We met a few Partridge hunters along the way. Chatted for a while with one who said he hunted back in Kentucky as well!

Hoped to see a moose on our final day... BUST!

We took some time to enjoy the scenery at Third and Fourth Connecticut lakes.

The views of Canada as we climbed towards Fourth Connecticut were wonderful! We could see some distant rays of sunshine, so we were hopeful for sunny weather later this afternoon.

We made it to the end around noontime. It was a bit surreal as we set up cameras to document our achievements. I was staring at the obelisk thinking... Canada is right there...!!! Felt strange that a whole separate country is beyond that marker. May be common for folks along border states, but surprisingly strange for a guy from the South!

We celebrated with ci**rs, high fives, and big brotherly hugs! The patrol officers stepped out and congratulated us as well. They loved the idea of victory ci**rs!

We're excited, but mainly tired! Post hike meals at the Full Send Bar and Grill were epic! We're heading back to Coleman State Park for the night, then it's a 1000-mile drive home in the morning 😮‍💨

Thank you to all who we met along the way. This was an experience we will remember for a long time! New Hampshire was a beautiful state!
