Fall is here!! It’s been quite busy to say the least and we’ve been living life. I’m not that great at remembering to document adventures anymore and I rarely see Ayden these days. When we are all 4 together, I am in the moment and forget to snag photos 😩🤦🏻‍♀️
I love looking back on Timehop so that’s why these will live here. 🍂

This is SEVENTEEN!!!
Happy Birthday to the one that made me a mom! The one that always puts others before himself. He’s our open-minded, levelheaded, funny, smart, responsible, still doesn’t drink soda and wants donuts instead of cake - first born. I love watching him grow into a young adult. Super proud of this kiddo. ❤️

Slowly but surely.

We removed walls, updated electrical work, widened the door frame, relocated air vents, updated to Control4, new lights, new floor, — almost new everything.

Now, I’m torn between the front door…

Replace (update) the storm door or go without?

I love the bare front door but I sure do love opening it. ☀️

Update after my year mark and a few things I have learned about property management

1) if I want the business to standout from others, then I have to offer something different (I love a good challenge)

2) no two days are EVER the same

3) communication is key (and that’s coming from an introvert)

4) rentals will always be needed (long-term and short-term)
it just depends on where someone is at during that phase of life. rentals can be used for families, singles, couples, traveling corporate jobs, college students, traveling nurses, and Airbnb

5) always being able to help others 🖤 (investors, owners, agents, tenants and vendors)

No clue where we were going and no itinerary.

A much needed, last minute - let’s just go trip. Not gonna lie, the mom guilt started to kick in but I didn’t let it. It was so nice for just me and Austin to escape kid and dog free before school starts tomorrow. We threw the essentials in and hit the road.

And, I’m just gonna throw this out there… we stopped by before heading into no service land and I had the BEST fried chicken sandwich, EVER!! Super cool place, highly recommend.

I never shared these but I photographed these several months ago. PROM. 🤘🏻

I love a good golden hour session and perfect lighting. However, this one we went after something different... a night sesh.

We started as the sun was already setting and photographed into the night using artificial light.

Bump that iso up, lower that shutter, don’t go too low in your aperture, take a deep breath and CLICK.

Don’t be afraid to play with different lighting. Change up your camera settings also to allow different looks in the same area.

Most of all… Have fun!

“Embrace your true self-“

When I started to look into options of a new career, I worries about not fitting in. I’ve never had that type of job before because I worked for myself and mostly from home or studio. I finally tossed those thoughts out the window and was like… if I’m going to do this thing… I’m showing up as me. If they don’t like me, well then… I’m not for them.

A million interviews (with the same person) and up against others (WITH PM experience) - I landed the position I applied for.

I will never forget those deep questions and even the simple ones like - “what did you do to prepare for this interview?” and I answered - uh, nothing. 🤷🏻‍♀️😆🤦🏻‍♀️

I just showed up! I showed up as me.

This page reminds me of making that decision to take a path in the direction of a new career.

Don’t be afraid to just show up. Even in your 40’s. ✌🏻
