Colby Swift was a contestant in Season 17 of American Idol.
Colby auditioned in Louisville. He sang "Cast No Stones" by Cody Jinks. All three judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.

Hollywood Round
Colby was shown in the first part of Hollywood Week, in the same Group of Ten as Shawn Robinson, Dalton Elliott, and Katie Belle. He sang "Before the Next Teardrop Falls" by Freddy Fender. He advanced and was shown in a group called "Diamond Dixies" along with Katie Belle, Laci Kaye Booth, and Laine Hardy singing "Gr***de" by Bruno Mars. Probably because he forgot his lyrics, Colby was the only member of his group to be eliminated.

To all my music lover friends, musician friends and songwriter friends.... I am planning to host our annual songwriter appreciation jam session and cookout at the PDR Treehouse on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 4:00 to midnight. Our Sandy Roots Records Summer Concert Series on the Water at Playa del Rio will end Labor Day weekend as the Christina Christian Band closes out the series; and we will then move into our PDR Fall Songwriters House Party Series as we get geared up for the 2021 Frank Brown International Songwriters' Festival in November. This year's Kick-off House Party will be hosted by Steve Oliver & Nikki Nelson-Welcher (of Highway 101) who will be our headliner from 8:00 to 11:00. Plan to bring your coolers (BYOB), your favorite covered dishes, snacks and desserts (for sharing for cookout), and your favorite instruments (for those that want to jam with us)Looking forward to seeing y'all at the PDR for another great day of music and friends!
