I realized something: I lived a "news" story this past weekend. My high school discus coach and I reunited after a 35-year absence to teach kids how to throw the discus and shot put. Here's the link; forgive me for writing in the third-person narrative in my blog.

A huge thank you to track and field throws coach Bill Witt from Northern York County School District for visiting with our Williamstown Independent Schools athletes this weekend. His insight and creativity kept the kids attention during the six hour clinic!

Also, this is the first time we’ve seen each other in 35 years, when were at Westland High School as a coach and student!

34 years ago, these five young HS throwers at Westland High School shot put and discus throwers did amazing things as a team and individually. Their coach, Bill Witt, knew how to get the best out of them. While the teens moved onto college and jobs, Coach Witt continued to build a coaching legacy in Pennsylvania.

Tonight, I introduced my young Padawan to the , Coach Witt. His insight after 40!years of coaching is pure, clean, and brilliant.

I’m blessed to catch up with Coach Witt tonight and learn from him. What’s more exciting is that tomorrow, Coach will work with the throwers from Williamstown Independent Schools.

Ludlow Independent Schools had an amazing inaugural invitational meet Friday night! Congrats to my son Zach who took first in Shotput and discus for first time and placed second in the turbojav and beat his own school record with a throw of 103’ 11”

This is another reason I refuse to go to St. Elizabeth Hospital. UCHealth Mercy Health - Cincinnati or Mercy Health are better choices with the best facilities, staff, and experience.

Since June 4 I’ve been and eating “better.” I’ve lost 30lbs and am below 200lbs for the first time since 2018. I still have work to do. Throwing the with my son Zachary and walking with Jeremy Reynolds has been an enormous help.

One of the proudest days of my parenting life happened yesterday. Alex moved into Alice Lloyd College to begin the next phase of his and endeavors. From K-12, this young man pushed through opportunities and succeeded. Two down and one to go.

Going out on top! After a 29 year career in local TV news, I left wanting more. More time with my family, more time in the evening, more holidays off, and more flexibility to accomplish personal goals. That was back in November. Last night, I added two more and possibly my last Emmy Awards to my shelves. Thank you to the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences - Ohio Valley,
