WS/FCS Superintendent McManus announces retirement During the Board of Education meeting on April 22, Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools Superintendent Tricia McManus announced that she will leave the district June 30. “Thank you for the opportunity to lead the amazing students and staff in this great community I have called home for the past five years. I have enjoyed meeting and serving thousands of students, families and community members in pursuit of our vision for educational excellence, collaboration and inclusiveness,” McManus said in a letter submitted to the Board of Education. ...

By Jess Schnur The Chronicle Starting tomorrow evening, April 24, at 7:30 p.m., the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) will hold its annual Spring Dance performance at the Freedman Theatre on its campus. Running from April 24-27, each performance will showcase the talents of faculty and students through both original choreography and reimagined classic works.
