Why does Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT still have a virtual queue?!
As a theme park lover who’s spent over 25 years exploring as many parks as I can, I’m here to give you the honest truth: Disney’s virtual queue system is not my favorite.
It’s confusing, stressful, and takes away from the magic of spontaneity in the parks. Especially if you’re someone with limited time, kids, or just want an stress-free day. And especially in EPCOT where we NEED some bigger attractions to help spread out those long queue times on the rides.

No more virtual queue on Tron Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom starting September 9! You’ll be able to join the standby queue or purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass to reduce your wait time. A new nighttime parade is coming to Magic Kingdom!
However, I think we need to pay respects to the fact that we ALREADY have a nighttime parade near Magic Kingdom - the Electrical Water Pageant!
Originally debuting in 1971, this show takes place every evening (weather permitting) on Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake. It features 14 floats with lights that depict images of sea creatures.
The music is played from classic Disney movies as well as other staples, and it has an old-time synth feel. Not synth as in 80s music. Synth as in.......they just discovered what a synth was. But that's part of what makes it great!
Is the most technologically advanced show? No. But it's a classic, and it's so fun to watch.
While you can see it from around the lakes, including while waiting for the resort boats, for the best viewing experience, you can see it from the following resorts:
- Disney's Grand Floridian Resort
- Disney's Polynesian Resort
- Disney's Contemporary Resort
- Disney's Wilderness Lodge
- Disney's Fort Wilderness
