It's always sad when the season is over. I will miss capturing these exceptional athletes each week. This Holland Hall vs Heritage Hall playoff didn't go out without a bang -- an amazing pick six by Luke Beeler.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to catch this team and coaches doing what they love.

First round of the OSSAA 3-A playoffs was another spec-tackle-ular contest between two deserving and hard working teams: Holland Hall Dutch & Berryhill Chiefs. Holland Hall in a comeback won the contest 21-13.

1. I love to shoot in rain, so I had a wonderful time last Friday as Holland Hall battled on the field in Stigler. I got to stand in a. four inches of water and/or b. 2 inches of mud. That’s how it goes with grass fields and I was there for it.
2. I am always challenged by metal halide stadium lamp cycling.
3. Football or mud wrestling? You decide. But these kiddos played their hearts out.

I was so happy to be back at Friday Night Lights. There is always a 7-9 month hiatus where one might forget things.
But on the sideline it all comes back.
When the final score is close, you know it was a good match, and in this year's Hall Brawl between the Dutch and the Commandos, the score was separated by one point. Both teams played so hard & you could see a real learning experience happening.
I was hoping for a win for BT's first game but even the smallest successes are often wins.
