I am not your traditional photographer, as I choose to take a much different approach to the art. The subjects I'm interested in span from capturing your most treasured family moments to artistic projects. For the last five years, I have spent my time traveling the World, photographing various subjects, which include the the following: animals, people, poverty, different cultures, rituals, celebra
tions of both life and death, religious ceremonies, and emotions in general---joy, passion, grief, confusion, and much, much more. I pride myself on being able to be what is needed in ANY situation. I have photographed with the knowledge of impending death. I have laughed and cried with my clients. I have fallen over with my clients. I have faced MAJOR fears with my clients, and have more than anything grown and lived life’s sensitive moments with my clients. We are all just wanting to be loved, heard, and understood. It takes a special person to be able to blend into any family and photograph the experience as though they are sharing the family's emotions. I am that photographer. I am that artist. I am a unique individual. I love any chance I get to create what I call “Photo Therapy”. Not every situation in life makes someone want to “SAY CHEESE”. Not every person wants their images to seem happy. Sometimes it's just as important to allow someone to photograph you in different moods, and more than just what's on the surface. Life is dramatic. We are not always just happy people. I love photographing people willing to be transparent in front of me. I work with people to access different aspects of themselves in order to appreciate ALL of themselves; not just the smiling version. I love when a woman is tired of looking at everyone else's sexy photos of themselves and decides to give herself the same opportunity. I consider women who are shy or who have insecurities a great opportunity for me, as I give them an entirely new experience with photography. I create an environment they're absolutely comfortable in, and thus their confidence shines through. While I'm in their space, we enjoy the sounds of music in the air all while laughing, giggling, and perhaps drinking a little wine. This makes it thoroughly comfortable as well as fun, all the while honoring the emotions a woman can feel when baring herself for someone else to experience. I treasure her strength and courage to allow me to capture her essence. I love getting to photograph ceremonies that involve people connecting spiritually through dance, meditation, praise, or sitting in stillness. I love to be invited into the bedroom with couples that are looking for their affection and love for each other to be caught in a still image. It is a very sacred experience for me to immortalize love this way, and I treat it with the utmost respect. I love taking on photo progression projects. Anything that traces someones experience through a situation or life is an emotional experience that I love committing to. If ever you would like someone to capture a special moment or moments for you but you would prefer someone who is sensitive to the situation be the one to photograph it, I am that kind of woman.
