Back in early march, I was asked to audition for and subsequently chosen to be the national voice of Northern Tool and Equipment.

I am not entirely sure what timeline the roll out on these national spots will be, but the agency was kind enough to send me the first release of the upcoming advertisements and assured me that posting them publicly was just fine.

So, I present... Northern Tool and Equipment, Get Serious.

Waking up this morning to find out that Toby Keith had passed away was a real punch to the gut.

So many great stories I have with Toby Keith. All the way back to being my very first interview at KBEQ in Kansas City.

Of all the many stories, one that remains the closest to me, was being invited to his home in Oklahoma to play golf. If you know me, I’m a terrible golfer. I mean absolutely horrible. But, I still got the invite and went to play golf with Toby.

Toby made fun of me because I showed up to play in cowboy boots. He bought me a pair of golf shoes on the spot that day at the pro shop. I still have those golf shoes.

Long story short, I play golf with a bunch of radio guys. Head back to Toby’s house for a party. Trophies and awards are handed out for the best golfers. The longest drives. Etc. Does anybody want to guess what trophy I got from the Toby Keith golf outing?

Last place.

Man, I’m going to miss him.

I am thrilled to finally reveal that I have been chosen as the voice over artist for Bud Light's new "Real Heroes" campaign. (Here is a clip from the press release) BUD LIGHT BRINGS BACK ‘REAL MEN OF GENIUS’ WITH NEW TWIST FOR DIGITAL AGE ‘Internet Heroes of Genius’ debuts today 6/18/2019 Bud Light’s “Real Men of Genius” campaign--which set a new standard for funny radio ads--is being resurrected for the social media age. The new version of the campaign is by Red, a division of Endeavor Global Marketing. The voiceover and singer’s voice sounds nearly identical to the original ads, but the brewer confirmed that it is using new talent for those roles. (Brandon Beilis does the singing and Dave Steele is the VO.) Also, on Twitter today, Bud Light will respond directly to users who tweet about why they should be an internet hero. “We are actually going to create content that is personalized to them with the singer singing back to them."
