Jazzzone Jazzabration Living Legend Foundation, Inc. dissolved and became
Leimert Park Jazz and Blues Society, which is now JazzZone Jazzabration Inc.

A 501(c)(3) that has a passion and a heart for Living Jazz & Blues Legends. We created this Organization, with the purpose of honoring and celebrating the birth of Jazz & Blues while preserving the Legacies of Legends, generally those over the age of 70. We now have changed this to the tender age of 62 and above. Our goal and mission are to make sure that Jazz & Blues live on in the heart and mind

s of our future generation. We created a monthly community celebration called JaZzabration® to unite and bring old friendships together for a nice meal & some great music. These Jazzabrations® have united old friendships in the music world that had not seen each other for years. Our mission is unique in the fact that we celebrate the birth of Jazz & Blues by selecting and honoring Living Jazz & Blues Legends while they are alive to appreciate the honoring. We feel that if a person has dedicated 25+ years of their life to Jazz or Blues, then that is Legendary and needs to be celebrated. Our projects are held annually, in January, April, July, and October. We feel it is very important to honor and celebrate Living Legends while they are here amongst us. We also educate the families about the importance of Legacy Protection and Preservation. The project is a community event that brings the community together for a night of great food, fellowship, and great music. We are always looking for great partnerships to help in making these events incredible for our honorees.
