After playing a neighbors electric guitar, Mind Pirate put down the skateboard and picked up the axe. With a DIY attitude and mindset, he always took his music in a direction of his own. At t

he time, inspired mostly by grunge and classic rock influences he began practicing guitar daily. After moving to Chicago at age 15, Mind Pirate was able to find a new musical inspiration in the jam band community, and the flame was lit. There he found a new sound to be inspired by and new musical influences. Loving the sense of community and respect for music, he then started his own bands using his grunge and jam mindset. He formed multiple groups and played shows in downtown Chicago with the support of the local scene. During his time in the city of Chicago Mind Pirate attended and graduated from Columbia College with a bachelor's in Arts Entertainment and Media Management. Always woking on his music as a guitarist, original songwriter and singer for his bands, he also found time to work in the live music industry, working for leaders such as Live Nation, React Presents, Concord Music Hall, and Ravinia Festival. Working and attending festivals, events and venues of all genres and sizes (Electronic, rock, jam,classical, funk, blues, hip hop, jazz, etc) Mind Pirate was thriving with a love for most forms of music, yet something was missing. As a creator, He felt electronic music was his new calling. Seeing his first electronic act in 2007, Mind Pirate saw the rise of dubstep and current EDM and had always had an ear on the growing genres of electronic music, and had many fellow DJ/ producer friends in the quickly growing scene . Taking that passion to the next level is where Mind Pirate was born. Now residing in South East Fl, Mind Pirate is the musical extension of a passion for dubstep, riddim, experimental bass, guitar and musical exploitation. Including the element of live guitar and his knowledge improvisation, Mind Pirate's sound is a blend of heavy hitting bass, funky blues driven beautiful guitar leads and riffs, melodies and distinct harmonies with a DIY attitude towards production. Never taking the easy path of following others sound, Mind Pirate truly is an original approach to creating electronic music.
