"Just in time for your New Year’s resolution! 🎉
Check out the delicious graphics Milkhaus contributed to the new Netflix series: “You Are What You Eat: A Twin Experiment”.
The series, directed by Louie Psihoyos and produced by Oceanic Preservation Society follows pairs of identical twins participating in a Stanford University Study tracking the physiological differences between eating an omnivore diet vs a vegan or plant-based diet.
This project created the opportunity for something we love to do at Milkhaus: COLLABORATE! This collaboration in particular served as a testament to the power of interdisciplinary cooperation. Working directly with a scientist to boil down complex scientific concepts into engaging animations proved to be an exhilarating creative endeavor.
Translating the science into dynamic and visually compelling animations required a delicate balance of accuracy and visual storytelling and demanded a solid understanding of the subject matter. In our process, the scientist provided invaluable insights and precise details while Milkhaus’ lead designer, James Durée transformed complex details into digestible and visually stunning narratives seamlessly blending the realms of science and the creative needs of the series.
