Congrats to Tara Wood and team premiering a special screening of their Tim Burton Docuseries this evening at Tribeca! Milkhaus created the interior motion graphics and main on end credits.

What's your connectedness to nature?

Stop by the Denver Art Museum to experience the exhibit running through Aug 11 in the Hamilton building. When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by the title wall designed and animated by Milkhaus. This space was conceived by the exhibit designer as the transition into the exhibition space - throughout which is intended to evoke the feeling of experiencing dappled light on a forest floor. Milkhaus was hired to bring the idea to life. The title wall was achieved by projecting an animation Milkhaus crafted combining clouds, mist, and dappled light with the exhibition logo.

As the exhibit continues, an interactive piece allows visitors to explore their connectedness to nature. The quiz (through back-end coding by ShadowComm) assigns a 1-5 value for how connected one is to nature. Milkhaus designed the plot graphic projection.

These types of immersive installations and event projects are something we very much enjoy supporting. Not only is the process of conceiving practical solutions and implementing effective design greatly satisfying but the interactive nature of the resulting work allows us to experience the outcome alongside other exhibit visitors.

Such an honor to be a part of the revolution!

Milkhaus crafted design, motion graphics, and animation for OUTSTANDING: A COMEDY REVOLUTION which has been included as an Official Selection of the 2024 Tribeca Festival ().

Outstanding: A Comedy Revolution is the first feature-length documentary to examine the history of q***r stand up comedy. The documentary considers the importance of LGBTQ+ stand up as an instrument for social change over the past five decades, actively reflecting and challenging cultural norms and values. Ultimately, the film reveals that q***r comedians — whether they intended to or not — helped change the world, one joke at a time.

takes place June 5-16. 2024 in NYC. https://tribecafilm.com/festival

"Just in time for your New Year’s resolution! 🎉

Check out the delicious graphics Milkhaus contributed to the new Netflix series: “You Are What You Eat: A Twin Experiment”.

The series, directed by Louie Psihoyos and produced by Oceanic Preservation Society follows pairs of identical twins participating in a Stanford University Study tracking the physiological differences between eating an omnivore diet vs a vegan or plant-based diet.

This project created the opportunity for something we love to do at Milkhaus: COLLABORATE! This collaboration in particular served as a testament to the power of interdisciplinary cooperation. Working directly with a scientist to boil down complex scientific concepts into engaging animations proved to be an exhilarating creative endeavor.

Translating the science into dynamic and visually compelling animations required a delicate balance of accuracy and visual storytelling and demanded a solid understanding of the subject matter. In our process, the scientist provided invaluable insights and precise details while Milkhaus’ lead designer, James Durée transformed complex details into digestible and visually stunning narratives seamlessly blending the realms of science and the creative needs of the series.
