One the coolest (sarcasm) things about running a page like this, having your name, face, info, email address, out there is you’re a target for scams playing on your desire for exposure and fame. Good thing I lack the desire for the latter part.

This isn’t the first time I’ve received an email similar to this. The scam is they’d converse with me and under the guise of “ensuring there won’t be technical glitches” I give them my Facebook account info and access. Then, I’m locked out and likely lose control of the page, and everything that comes with it. I imagine they’d redirect my tens of dollars I earn from this page to their own accounts and feel some sort of sick sense of pride they scammed another one.

People suck, but if you use a little common sense, you can avoid traps like this. I’m cool and all, but do you really think Bert Kreischer stands to gain anything by having me on his podcast?

Nope.

Stay frosty.

New Years Resolution / self development post.

If you want to change your life, your habits, or achieve a goal, whatever it may be, you NEED to CELEBRATE the process, NOT just the OUTCOME.

Example, you want to lose 20 pounds.

When you’re going to the gym, eating clean and healthy food, you need to celebrate when you do those things along the way. Maybe include a small reward that won’t be counterproductive to your end goal. For example, if you go to the gym for a week straight without skipping, you treat yourself to a massage.

Positive self-talk helps too. Even if you’re basically lying to yourself. What I mean is, when you go to the gym, pump yourself and talk to yourself as if you’re encouraging a sweet 5 year old kid that you really want to see succeed.

Positive self talk will release dopamine that makes your body respond more positively to the activity you’re doing, instead of dreading your time at the gym. This makes the odds of you making this a habit far better than the alternative. If your inner dialogue is all negative - “man this sucks” or “this isn’t fun” what do you think the odds are you’ll make that a habit and reach your goal?

I’m not an expert in any of this, so take it for what it’s worth. I picked up this info listening to Codie Sanchez’s Big Deal podcast. It makes complete and total sense so I thought I’d share it with you in hopes it helps a person or three!

Have a great day, and better yet, 2025!

I literally just muttered to myself, “Well, I guess I can no longer be an assassin,” as I walked to the kitchen and my body sounded like someone was popping bubble wrap like a crazy person. To be honest, I didn’t even know I wanted to be an assassin.

A worthy cause, I’ll be supporting them directly as much as I can going forward. More info on that, very soon.

🇺🇲6700 Memorial Bracelets provided in 2024🇺🇲

In 2024, the LazerWerk Memorial Bracelet Foundation has been able to send 6700 memorial bracelets to agencies and families at no cost. Currently, we are able to send 100 memorial bracelets when a tragedy occurs. Many times, agencies and families need more than 100 and we have a goal to be able to send more.

I absolutely hate to ask for donations, but that's what it takes to make it possible to help the families and agencies with memorial bracelets. If you wish to assist us in honoring our Fallen Heroes in 2025, donations can be accepted at the following link.

Please keep the Monroe County (TN) Deputy shot yesterday in your thoughts and prayers. Deputy was rushed to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, the dirtbag is in custody.

On average there is one police officer shot every 24 hours in America. This disturbing statistic is emblematic of a deeply damaged society, one that everyone must acknowledge and do everything in their power to fix.

-Pass the Protect and Serve Act
-Stop the revolving door criminal justice system
-Vehemently prosecute violence criminals
-Stop treating cops like scum in this country
-Secure our border

The truth is, there’s good people everywhere, even in the toughest and most violent neighborhoods.

An officer I knew in Dallas was driving down a busy road one day and it was one of those cold rainy days. Maybe just above freezing and raining steadily.

He came upon an injured cat lying in the middle of the road shivering. It was a busy residential road, he was shocked it was still alive and hadn’t been hit by a car.

He parked his car blocking traffic and began to take his police rain jacket off to wrap the kitten in when he heard a lady yell, “Officer! Officer! I have something for you to help!” She ran out in the rain handed him a sweatshirt and helped wrap up the cat.

The officer drove straight to the pound and handed off the cat and told them to give him a shout if the cat made it. He never looked to see the extent of the injuries. Apparently he’s a big animal lover - not a huge fan of cats - but couldn’t bear to see the injuries, so he never looked.

I guess he’s seen enough in his day, why look at that if he didn’t have to?

The cat unfortunately didn’t make it.

Come to find out, the woman that gave the officer the sweatshirt lived in a halfway house and likely had very little to her name. The officer learned this when he went back to return the sweatshirt the following day after washing it at home, but was told that woman no longer stayed there.

There’s good people everywhere.

And if you’re a good person, kind to people, doing the right thing - even as a police officer - people will help you when the time comes. Even in the most dangerous and tough neighborhoods in the country.

It’s important to remember that.

We’re all human.

Most are good.

Most WANT to help others.

A few are evil.

Hopefully that cat’s final minutes were better thanks to that officer’s actions and that woman’s generousity.

Good work all around despite the ending being less than ideal.

Am I the only person who has their best ideas right before falling asleep, but doesn’t bother to pick up their phone & write them down and stupidly thinks they’ll remember them in the morning? ? 🤦‍♂️
