Michael Lombardi originally created this CCR system for harvesting Quahog a type of hard-shelled clam harvested in Rhode Island. His CCR is now used by various professionals including a few filmmakers including myself. Look also at Fernando Lessa 's work.

Love the silence, stealth and dive time that this system allows for my extensive underwater work.

For more information and or to get some training, reach out directly to Michael or send me a note.

Elvers / glass eels are young North American Eels that have drifted in the Gulfstream from the Saragasso Sea (where they spawned).
Once they reach the NorthEast Coast of the United States, they follow fresh warmer waters that lead them to estuaries, streams and rivers which ultimately take them to ponds and lakes where they will remain for up to 40 years... then, they make the one way trip back to the Saragasso to spawn and die.

Maine has one of the last elver / eel industries in the United States.

Footage filmed as part of our upcoming pilot “Arrivals” part of North American Waters mini series produced by us.

Here is the trailer for The Ghost Trap - directed by James Khanlarian from khanlarianentertainment.com
I played a small part in filming the underwater sequences... short scenes but crucial to the story. The film is based on the debut novel of the same name by Maine author K. Stephens and was shot completely in Maine with crew from Maine and New England.
Always great when films are produced and filmed in our beautiful state...

For the past four years, we have been working on the first episode of our fully inhouse produced natural history series called "NorthAmerican Waters". Episode 1: "Arrivals" , follows the many stories of waterbound migrations that explode during the very short late spring / Early summer seasons. It is filmed almost entirely in We always wanted to bring the highest production value to our home state to be able to showcase what wildlife we have here but in a truly cinematic way. FIlmed entirely in 6K with Red Cameras and the DJI Inspire 2 drones, Rebreathers and other pro tools we typically use on International large budget productions.
We are finally getting closer to our objective of finalizing this first hour in this series. Here is a little "sneak peak" into what we have been up to. I wish to thank the entire Aquaterrafilms production team both here in Maine and abroad, for your patience and dedication to getting this film made. Crank the volume. Special thanks to all these amazing companies that have always supported our professional work over the years. we could not do what we do without your ongoing support Thank you!
