The word Indo comes from Indo-European(Dutch), people of mixed ancestry with roots in both continents(countries), originating in the former Dutch East Indies. That part of South East Asia where a hybrid culture and fusion cuisine emerged. The Indo diaspora may not have their own country or nationality - they do have their own Indo-Dutch food customs and culture, which includes:
