I shot some scenes in the NJ State House for this film, which premieres in November.
(TEANECK, NJ) — The Teaneck International Film Festival, with the theme, Activism: Making Change, returns November 7-14, 2024. The “live” part of the festival runs November 7-10, ending with the premiere of Politics is a Mother, a documentary about NJ Senator Loretta Weinberg, at Temple Emeth (1666 Windsor Road) in Teaneck. Additional films will be offered online from November 11-14.

Politics is a Mother was film written, directed, and produced by her Weinberg’s daughter Francine Graff. Known as the ‘Feisty Grandma’, Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg flipped New Jersey on its head when she unearthed the Bridgegate scandal, which caused the fast and hard fall of Governor Chris Christie. Told through the lens of a mother/daughter story, Politics Is A Mother, Raising Hell is Part Of The Job, reveals how the political is always personal and how an “adorable” grandmother could be one of the most important politicians of our time.

back in early 2020 just before the pandemic, I shot video for this new film "Politics is a Mother" at the NJ Statehouse with NJ Senate Loretta Weinberg and her daughter on the occasion of her last inauguration as Senate Majority Leader. The film has appeared in a few festivals this summer and is scheduled for release soon.

We are working with Miss Peachtree from the Hedgepath Williams school on an original gospel song she wrote, which is a tribute to Kamala Harris. The song features members of her choir from Brooklyn and instrumentalists from Delaware. Miss Peachtree is a professional Gospel singer and songwriter, with over 50 years to her credit, she appeared many times on late night with with David Letterman and as an actress on the Cosby show. We are also working on a new album which includes an anthology of her music and a few new songs.

**NOW CASTING FOR OUR 2024-25 SEASON**

We are holding EPA auditions in Trenton, New York, and Philadelphia for both ALMA by Benjamin Benne and TOP DOG/UNDERDOG by Suzan-Lori Parks this June. Head to our website and click the corresponding city for the full breakdown and instructions for the auditions. We will be auditioning both shows at the same time in each city. We will be seeing Equity and Non-Equity actors.
