We’ve gotten family photos done ever year since I was pregnant with Abbie. It’s something I’ve always prioritized, since I want my girls to have photos of me from every stage. My mom always avoided the camera when I was a kid, and I didn’t want to do that, no matter what I was feeling about my appearance.

Another thing about this year’s photos? I’ve been working hard all year and I’m down nearly 40 pounds since last year’s photos. It’s been a challenge, but I feel better and it’s ensuring I’ll be around for these photos for years to come.

Take the photos. They’re always, always worth it.

Did you plant a garden this year? Happy first day of summer from my baby tomatoes and my summer cold! 🤧

I kept it simple with cherry tomatoes, few bell peppers, squash, and cucumbers. Ella already has asked to eat all the tomatoes!

My sister Melanie called me screaming on Thursday night as I was making dinner. I’ve never heard her so excited. Then she said, “Do you want to go see Taylor Swift?!?!?” 😱

Her diligence in checking all day long for last minute tickets paid off in a big way and we got to go to Pittsburgh last night!

It was everything you’ve heard and more, and so incredible to share it with Abbie and my sister!

I love being a dance mom and Abbie loves dancing even more.

Through this weekend, Abbie is selling popcorn, candy, and treats to raise money for her competition team. She has grown into such a beautiful dancer and supporting her helps further her growth. Girl Scout High Adventure Day was a big success! We hiked, learned to use a slingshot, ate s’mores, and did nature arts and crafts. 🍃 It was so nice to spend the day with my littlest girl. ❤️

One of my favorite mother-daughter days for sure.
