The Loveland Rural Fire Protection District (LRFPD) will host two Community Conversations on August 21 and 22, providing residents an opportunity to learn more about the District, its responsibilities, its financial partnership with the Loveland Fire Rescue Authority (LFRA), and its plans for the future.

Topics will include the District’s authority and responsibilities; LRFPD representation on the LFRA Board; the history and structure of the LRFPD–LFRA partnership; District funding of LFRA; mill levy and fund balance history; calls for service; long-term financial planning; District elections; and opportunities to improve communication with rural residents.

Questions previously submitted by members of the community have been incorporated into the presentation, and attendees will have an opportunity for additional questions and discussion.

MILLIKEN – The Board of Trustees has approved the proposed employee agreement for its newly-selected town administrator, Greg Brinck.

The board met August 12 for their regular monthly meeting. Along with signing off on the new town administrator contract, it also passed a stormwater drainage improvement project, an intergovernmental agreement to explore a new local water authority, appointed individuals to various Milliken boards, discussed town hall rentals and addressed noise complaints made by residents of the Mad Russian.
