NOTE TO OUR SUBSCRIBERS:
Delivery of The Breeze was delayed this week because the truck from Cheyenne had an accident yesterday on the icy roads. The paper is now at the Post Office and should be delivered locally tomorrow (Friday).

You can pick up copies as well at Hays Market, Johnstown Convenience, Far Better Convenience in Milliken and Ace Hardware.

We apologize for the delay. One heartening thing out of all of this... we have received numerous calls about "where is my paper?"

Nice to know we're missed.

Weld County Detectives Investigating Shooting in Hill-N-Park

Weld County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating an incident that occurred in the 4200 block of Grand Teton Road where one male is deceased, and another is in critical but stable condition at a local hospital.

Today, WCSO patrol deputies responded to a shooting at a residence at 1:21 A.M. and met with the reporter, who is also the victim. The victim advised he has been in a long-standing feud with his neighbor, the suspect. The suspect kicked the victim’s door in and came into his home with an object in his hand. A struggle ensued between the victim and the suspect. The victim shot the suspect. The suspect was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The victim was also transported to the hospital and is in critical but stable condition at this time.

The Weld County Coroner’s Office is actively working on this incident, and the deceased will be identified by their office. The scene is being actively worked, but there is no danger to the community.

If anyone in the community has any information regarding this incident, and you have not spoken to a detective, please contact Detective Brandon Stupka at (970) 400-2832 or email him at [email protected] . This is an active investigation, and no further information will be released today.

A NOTE TO OUR READERS:
The printer truck from Cheyenne was in an accident this morning (the driver is ok). That means The Breeze won't be delivered here until tomorrow morning, which likely means that subscribers won't receive their Breeze until Friday.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but nothing, not even The Breeze, is so important that it merits endangering someone's life.

The digital edition of The Breeze will be up tomorrow morning as usual. To read: go to www.myjohnstownbreeze.com.

Stay warm Breeze Nation, and be careful on the roads.
