FROM THE KBDT-IM NEWSROOM: KFC will leave its home. The fried chicken chain's U.S. headquarters will move from Louisville, Kentucky, to Plano, Texas, Yum Brands announced today.

The business friendly Texas will have lower business costs and Taxes. Employees have been given window for transfers and moving to Texas.

FROM THE KBDT-IM NEWSROOM: An arctic cold front will arrive on Tuesday with temperatures falling during the daytime.
has issued a Severe winter weather warning on Tuesday until 10pm CST.

Rain will accompany the front, and may linger into the evening when temperatures fall below freezing. This potential is highest across parts of North and East Texas where very light ice accumulations are possible, which could cause travel impacts to bridges and overpasses.

Today high 45F low 20F.

Be sure to monitor the forecast heading into the workweek as these forecast details are refined.

FROM THE KBDT-IM NEWSROOM: The clock ticks down at Salem Media's KLTY-FM and their Fish format stations across the country.

KLTY will sign off at Midnight CT. Before it was a major Christian music station, it was other formats.

Scott Ginsburg's Evergreen Media had CHR KHYI-FM (Y-95). It later moved to Las Colinas and had a Saturday night show hosted by Wolfman Jack (yes that one!)

Before that. It sat in a small building as JIimmy Swaggart Minstries KWJS-FM.

We have some mutual history. Our owner, Mick Williams started his broadcasting career under Paul Thomas Hughes at KWJS in 1982. He'd later leave and continue his career spanning over 40 years.
KLTY-FM is sharing memories and having former employees join in on the countdown. The baton will be passed on to EFM Media at midnight CT.

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 5 above zero.
* WHERE...Portions of north central Texas.
Monday Night: A 30 percent chance of snow showers, mainly after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 23. North northeast wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Little or no snow accumulation expected but can change.
South of listening area expect 2-3" of snow with expecting up to 4 inches.

Austin reported snow last night. All city Government departments are closed today due to weather.

In Houston, both Bush Intercontinental Airport and Hobby Airport will temporarily suspend flight operations starting at 12 a.m. Tuesday.

"Please do not attempt to travel to the airport after this time," Houston Airports said, adding there will be no departing or arriving flights.

According to the airport system, teams will remain on site 24/7 to prepare for a return to normal operations, weather permitting.

Travelers with existing plans should contact their airlines for rebooking options.
