We got to see a really great Native American dance performance last night at the library. It was so beautiful all the history and tradition of the culture. The dances all represented so many important aspects of the Native American experience.

My front yard is blooming like mad and I love it. The backyard didn’t get as much love this year so I didn’t get a lot of blooms unfortunately. I’m not really good at this. 🤣

We have been kid free this week!!! Adventures have included breaking in our new inflatable kayaks, a small road trip to St. Clair Shores for a stroll along the boardwalk watching the freighters pass and a really good dinner at River Crab which sits right on the river (duh).

Kids are having a really good time at Scout Camp it sounds like. Hope their week continues to go well! ❤️

I wanna go kayaking again asap!

Finally steamed my Tassel necklace (pattern by )!

I used the by to make fast work of the icord!

This is the “lariat” style version and I love the bright pop of color for the tassels.

I love how the details can elevate a basic tank top dress from .

I have matching hand knit socks with the same pop of bright green was hard to photograph though. 😜

Jim and I had a rare “fancy” night out on Saturday! Wandered around downtown Rochester, then dinner at the Rochester Chop House which was amazing. Took a random drive north into the country areas and then back home for some YouTube music trivia the rest of the night! Kids were camping and canoeing with Scouts. All in all we all had a good time!

I got two compliments on my dress. Should have got a full shot of it. It was cute and ruffly at the bottom. ❤️

My Sadie baby has joined her brother Devo in peaceful sleep. 20 1/2 years with the absolute best kitty I could ask for. Jim picked one word to describe her: Cautious. She was always so hesitant to do anything “bad” unlike her brother. She would never go outside, or even go in our bedroom when the door was left open. She wouldn’t eat flowers, jump on counters or tables. She was just so good.

10 photos aren’t enough…

To say my heart is broken is an understatement. I can’t imagine my life with both my kitty babies gone.
