Colorado may be famous for its skiing, but it's also home to some amazing hot springs. Since 1888, Glenwood Hot Springs has drawn visitors to its hot natural spring waters. Today, it has seven expansive pools, two cold plunge pools and Sopris Splash Zone, a kids' area complete with a river ride, waterfalls, splash zone and more (not open in winter, though). We stayed at the Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge right next door and had unlimited access to Glenwood Hot Springs. We especially loved sitting in the hot springs on a cold winter night, with the resort all decorated for the holidays. Magical! #hotsprings #colorado #glenwood #visitglenwood #glenwoodsprings #glenwoodhotsprings @visitglenwood @glenwoodhotsprings #coloradotravel
Norway's Geirangerfjord almost looks like a fairytale. This scenic fjord was created over several ice ages, when glaciers carved out deep fjords and shaped the high mountains. The fjord is deep enough for cruise ships like ours (the Viking Saturn) and goes on for miles until reaching the small town of Geirenger, pop. 250. The Geirengerfjord is a UNESCO World Heritage site. We took a bus with Viking Cruises up into the mountains and stopped at an overlook 2,000 feet above the village. The views were amazing! #norway #cruising #traveltheworld #myvikingjourney
The Faroe Islands are gorgeous! This archipelago in the North Atlantic Ocean is an autonomous territory of Denmark, but they speak their own language, Faroese, which came from Old Norse. The islands have 50,000 inhabitants and 80,000 sheep. 🐑 We are visiting for the day on a cruise aboard the Viking Saturn. Our ship stopped in Tórshavn, the capital, and then we spent the afternoon driving around the main island and up into the hills. Wow, the views were stunning! So happy we got the chance to visit. 🇫🇴#foroeislands #myvikingjourney #cruise #viking #goworldtravel #wanderlust #traveltheworld #travel #cruising #bucketlist
