Born in the Northeast, Jeff Bower’s path to greatness was shaped by his family’s move to the South, eventually settling in Roswell, Georgia. A gifted athlete, Bower was recruited to play quarterback at the University of Georgia. But when things didn’t go as planned, fate led him to Southern Miss. One visit was all it took—Bower “fell in love” with the university that would forever be a part of his story.
As the starting quarterback for three seasons and later as head coach, Bower’s bond with the Golden Eagles grew stronger. His coaching career at USM became the most celebrated era in the school’s football history, marked by unmatched success, personal challenges, and triumphs that revealed his resilience and strength.

🚨🚨🚨Season 7 of Audibles with Jason Scarborough" 🚨🚨🚨 continues this weekend with Episode 10, featuring Dr. Kevin Chandler. Dr. Chandler, a general and thoracic surgeon for Lakeland Surgical Associates, is a Jackson-area surgeon and Madison, MS native with experience in all areas of surgery and care.
Dr. Chandler grew up in Madison, MS and was a high school athlete under coaches such as current Ole Miss chancellor Dr. Glenn Boyce, former high school football coaching legend Jack Carlisle and current MRA basketball legendary coach Richard Duease. Dr. Chandler took those lessons from three highly successful and impactful men and channeled those lessons into his time in medical school and surgical training.
Today, Dr. Chandler is a sought after surgeon specializing in surgical endoscopy, trauma and critical care, colorectal, vascular and thoracic surgery. He is a member of the Breast Cancer Society, the Society of Breast Surgery, and is a master surgeon in the practice of robotic surgery. A graduate of Ole Miss and the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, Dr. Chandler details his journey as a doctor and surgeon in this candid conversation for Audubles.

He now serves as the Executive Director of The Grove Collective a name, image, and likeness collective for University of Mississippi student athletes.

Season 7 of "Audibles with Jason Scarborough" continues this weekend with our latest episode, featuring Ole Miss Football wide receiver Tre Harris. Harris, a native of Lafayette, Louisiana, played quarterback for his high school football team before being asked to make the switch to wide receiver at Louisiana Tech, where his college football journey began.
After initially beginning his college football career with Louisiana Tech, Harris found it tough in the beginning in his new position on the field. But after continuing to work at his craft, he improved each year, eventually garnering Conference USA honors. At that moment, Harris felt his college football experience needed a change of location.
Upon entering the transfer portal, Harris found his way to Ole Miss Football for an official visit with Rebel head coach Lane Kiffin. Kiffin, who's known for his recruiting prowess as much as his offensive ingenuity, told Harris he could make him a 1st round NFL pick. Harris made his way to Oxford not long after that meeting and settled in to a "homey, comfortable fit" that has seen he and QB Jaxson Dart assault the Ole Miss offensive record books the last two seasons, with promises to shatter many more records in 2024.
