Interview with Theresa Callard-Moore, a Holistic Psychotherapist and the CEO of Consumers 4 Wellness.

Consumers 4 Wellness is an organization set up to help consumers reach out to their legislatures regarding what they would like included in their healthcare plans. The goal is to create a better healthcare plan for holistic, integrative modalities that help the whole person. Each person has about $11,000 in healthcare dollars each year, yet many plans do not include chiropractic, massage, reiki healing, nutrition, sexual health, or other alternative options. By joining Consumers 4 Wellness, it will create a base of information and knowledge on what types of wellness programs consumers want in their healthcare plans. Then Consumers 4 Wellness will be a platform that can push for changes in our healthcare system.

Please read the book: Bridge It: The Integrative Medicine Approach to the Healthcare Crisis in the United States

What does humanity need to work on to make our world a better place?

Answer from Sharon Valenti, a Relationship Coach with Is It True? EP 58

"Taking care of themselves, getting to the point in their own life where you are at peace within yourself. Just like this point that I've gotten myself to, largely not being triggered anymore. When you are peaceful within yourself, that is already is spreading out. When you think of the peaceful people that you're aware of in your life, and let's say somebody like Mother Teresa - no, we don't have to be poverty and working with lepers and things like that, or we think of a very peaceful woman doing good in the world, right, or Eckhart Tolle with his books or anybody else, Gandhi, we don't have to wear a loincloth, and we don't have to go down to just nothingness - but don't make your things be your master. I'm a believer we can master our thoughts and not let our thoughts continue mastering us. That's what I teach, and so many people are allowing their thoughts to master them rather than the other way around. So when you achieve that peace within you, that peacefulness, that calmer demeanor, that stop looking at the news and realize you're causing your suffering. People see you, and they want what you have, and so they just want to spend time around you, and eventually, you rub off on them, if that makes sense, and that's how it spreads. So, focus on you first and just trust the process that as you evolve, you're going to be a magnet for people. They'll want what you have."

What does humanity need to work on to make our world a better place?

Interview with Guerline Jozef, Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Haitian Bridge Alliance…

Answer:
"I say, love. I believe that love is one of the most beautiful things, and I believe that love conquers all. Love, you know, love your neighbor as yourself, love, just, just accept the person for who they are. And there’s a song - share a little bit of love, right, and let, let the next person know that you care."

Lanie: "Right, gosh, and then I remember another thing that you said was it helps to put yourself in the other person's shoes and try and understand where they're coming from."

Guerline: "And that's the part of love, right? Self-love, loving the others, for me that has always been true to put myself in the other person's shoe, and that has allowed me to understand where they're coming from, what they are dealing with because the surface things is, is can be so, such a mask, right? And, being a mother, a mothers feel what a mother feels; that's putting yourself in the other person's shoe. What if it was me? What if it was my son, you know who is just locked up in there? What if it was my mother? How would I feel? What will I do?"

What does humanity need to work on to make our world a better place?

Interview with Nancy, a Denali National Park Tour Bus Driver…

Answer:

“Get along with each other. I mean at least in this country, we are very badly divided right now. If we don't figure out a way to get on board with each other then we're, we're doomed. We need to find some common ground where we can agree with each other and start to move forward from there. I just think that we're a pretty hurting nation right now.” “I would agree.”

What does humanity need to work on to make our world a better place?

From my interview with Carolle Vargas, a cancer survivor…

Answer:
“I think that humanity today has divided itself just by religion, by nationality, by so many different things, and we’re all one. If we climbed inside each other's skin and looked out we’d have a whole different take on it, and just being more loving and caring and trying to find ways to help instead of finding a reason why they are that way - and it's a much warmer world. I also think too, that I have to say that there's a lot of good stuff going on in the world. I think we just should turn our televisions off. The media won't like that but it's only about the bad stuff and I see good stuff. I mean when I go to the grocery store, I saw ten people that were polite and considerate and thoughtful and helpful and it's all there, it's just making it be there more often.”

What does humanity need to work on to make our world a better place?

From my interview with Dr Kaur, a Naturopathic Doctor with Tustin Longevity Center in Tustin, California…

Answer:
“I think maybe we all need a little bit more compassion and understanding. That yes, maybe if somebody wasn’t nice to you this day, they’re going through something, right? Because they’re not purposely trying to hurt you. Maybe they had a bad day, they got in a car accident. So, just having a little compassion for them and understanding. You know what, it’s okay, they’re having a bad day. We will try again tomorrow.”

Dr. Julie Miller has been a nurse since 1979. She became ill after exposure to an active herpes patient in the hospital. The doctors treated her with many antibiotics and antifungals to help her heal. Afterward, she experienced health issues ongoing for eight years until she was referred to a chiropractor who worked with her alignment, taking natural supplements, and changing her diet. After five years, she was able to heal herself completely. She decided to become a Naturopathic doctor to further her knowledge of how to heal our bodies naturally. She tests for the root causes of the imbalances in our system and helps people heal their immune systems and themselves.

This interview is co-hosted with Julie Morris from "The Secret Club of Adoption," where we interview Frank "Tony" Rich, who was adopted as a baby.  Tony's adopted mom, Vera Rich, led a life of many hardships from the age of 13.  She grew up during the early 1930s and the U.S. Depression Era.  She had to run away from a bad family life and raise her younger brother on her own.  At 14, Vera got married to a 26-year-old lumberjack in Oregon.  Tony's adopted mother became one of the first single mothers allowed to keep her adopted son in California.  Tony grew up knowing he was adopted and called his birth mother Aunt Elaine, as she stayed in touch with his adopted mom, Vera.  Listen to learn more about Tony's perspective on growing up adopted.  This series of adoptee interviews is to help people learn more about navigating adoption.

Quote from Tony about his birth mom…. “She spent, I think a week to 10 days with me. I had my kids and we got to know each other very well. Her major concern was that I had feelings of animosity towards her giving me up, and no I never did. I just figured in 1948 you're a single woman pregnant, what would you do, she had two choices, and I'm grateful for the one she picked.”

This interview goes in-depth on Terry's life as a police officer, starting in the force when he was 37 years old. He worked for the Cincinnati, Ohio Police Department as a neighborhood patrol officer, an undercover narcotics investigator, and a SWAT Hostage Negotiator.

Terry had many professions in his life, even playing NCAA Division I college basketball. Yet, his challenge since 2012 is one of a cancer warrior dealing with a rare form of cancer called Acral Lentiginous Melanoma, which presented on the bottom of my foot. Terry shares how he has been going through this process and how a college student’s request led him to write his book "Sustainable Excellence" to help motivate people to live their lives to the fullest.

Terry Tucker also created the website: motivationalcheck.com, which helps to motivate people with other people's stories and quotes.
