In 2 Chronicles 7:14, Yahweh declares, “If my people, who are called by My Name…” It is essential to recognize that His Name is YAHWEH, not "LORD." The substitution of Yahweh’s Name with "LORD" is not just a translation choice but carries dangerous implications.

The term "LORD" is a title, not a name, and it directly ties to Baal, the Canaanite idol and adversary of Yahweh. In Hebrew, the word "Baal" (בַּעַל) literally means "lord" or "master." Baal was worshiped as a false god in opposition to Yahweh throughout the Scriptures, leading Yisrayl into idolatry.

This substitution effectively obscures Yahweh’s true identity and aligns His name with a title associated with idolatry. Jeremiah 23:27 highlights this deception: "They intend to make my people forget my name by their dreams, which they tell one another, just as their ancestors forgot my name through Baal."

By replacing Yahweh with "LORD," the enemy has sought to remove the power and covenant identity tied to Yahweh’s name. Yahweh’s name is not a generic title; it is His eternal, personal name that sets Him apart as the One True Father.

Let us reject the falsehoods tied to "LORD" and honor Yahweh by calling on His true name as revealed in the Scriptures. As His people, we are called by His name; YAHWEH, and we must walk in truth, humbling ourselves, praying, seeking His face, and turning from our wicked ways. Only then will He hear us, forgive us, and heal our land. Let's do what He said to do, because Yahweh will not be mocked!
