“No one else has your voice. That’s your superpower.”
- Maggie Rogers
I help independent artists become their own producers in 6 months or less.
All of the artists I work with have big dreams and music goals, but lack the creative freedom and skills to get there.
They are typically already:
- Writing lots of songs
- Paying producers and studios
- Playing live shows
- Watching YouTube tutorials
- Dabbling in GarageBand
My 6-month mentorship is unique because it brings a system of one-on-one mentorship, mix feedback from industry professionals, accountability, in-depth video modules, weekly group calls, and a private community on Skool.
This support allows artists of all backgrounds to learn how to produce, mix and master their own industry-standard songs in Logic Pro or Pro Tools.
I help artists unlock their creative potential to get back on track and fulfill their story.
Regardless of your genre or level of experience, you have a voice that needs to be heard and I’d love to help you move forward!

I never wanted to be a producer. I’ve been songwriting since I was 16 and that was always my first-love. I desperately wanted professional-level songs, but lacked the money to pay thousands for a capable producer. I went into debt to pay for my debut album after my Kickstarter campaign painfully failed. I was overwhelmed by the crushing reality of not having the resources to make my voice heard. My dreams felt hopelessly out of reach.
But everything changed when I learned that the best way to become a great artist is to become a great producer.
A light turned on in my head. I had hope.
I went home every day determined to learn how to produce music. By this time I was teaching full-time and instead of hanging with friends after work, I said yes to every free project, recorded my own vocals at home with a $400 mic, and pitch-corrected them myself. I grew tired of watching hours of YouTube videos, so I hired a mentor and joined an online indie artist community in the sync industry.
Before I knew it I was writing and producing with industry professionals and I grew immensely through accountability, community and feedback.
I finally made the bold move to quit the career I wasn’t passionate about. I left the safety of my salary to take a full-time, unpaid internship at a music studio. This was my defining (and humbling) moment - to pursue my dreams with no “Plan B.” I lived off savings for 6 months with no guarantee that success would be waiting on the other side.
But then a door opened! I went from teaching high school English to audio engineering for a Grammy-winning record label, all without a formal music degree. Now I run my own mentorship program, produce and write songs with friends all over the world.
If you want your dreams to come true, it’s less about talent and more about discipline. Those who make it are simply the ones who take risks, invest in themselves and never quit. Anyone can do this, but your journey doesn’t have to be as hard as mine.
This is why I’m passionate about equipping indie artists with the skills to produce for themselves— but at an accelerated pace! What took me years (and 3 internships) could take you only months.
I help independent artists become their own producers in 6 months or less.
Here’s how it works:
STEP 1:
I help you set up your home studio on a one-on-one onboarding call using my Gear List. You join my private Skool group for 6 months of weekly group calls, one-on-one support, song feedback, video modules and online community.
STEP 2:
I help you finalize the songwriting for your original song to prep it for production.
You learn how to navigate Pro Tools or Logic Pro with my Producer Template (using my exact mixing and mastering plugins, effects, and routing), arrange your song in MIDI, record scratch vocals and start mixing.
STEP 3:
You learn essential post-production skills like time-aligning instruments, strip-silencing vocals, and keeping your session organized according to common practice by labels and studios.
STEP 4:
You learn advanced production, mixing and mastering. This is where we will go deeper and give you the skills to make your song sound polished, taking it from demo to industry-standard.
STEP 5:
You learn final vocal tracking, background vocal and harmony stacking, and professional pitch-correction methods in Melodyne.
STEP 6:
You learn how to finalize your song master, prep your next session quickly to save hours of time, bounce stems and deliver your final song.
Once you finish your first song, start on the next one by repeating this 6-Step Process!
Want to become your own producer?
I guarantee that you’ll be producing, mixing and mastering your own industry-standard songs within 180 days of working together.

Independent Artists: Here are 3 ways to affordably create a large song catalog...
More songs equal more opportunities and therefore more income.
The key is to reduce (or fully remove) your production expenses.
Here’s how I’m doing it:
1.) Learn how to produce and mix your own music.
- Invest in yourself heavily upfront and it will pay you back for life.
- At the very least, learning how to record and tune your own vocals at home will change the game for you.
2. Outsource your weaknesses or tasks that take too long.
- For example, if your song needs keys but guitar is your main instrument, hire a pianist online.
- Ask them to record remotely and send you the files. Easy!
3.) Give a producer 50% of your song’s publishing & placement earnings in exchange for services.
- This is common-practice in the sync industry (and shows how valuable it is to become your own producer so you can have full song ownership).
- This is only a win-win if your music is opening up opportunities for return-on-investment.

“Writing songs is like capturing butterflies. You have to be quick, or they’ll flutter away.” - Dave Grohl
It’s been a blast working with the studio team for the past 2 years. Can’t believe how fast it’s flown by.
In this time I got to work for a Grammy-winning label, work on songs that are sung by the church all around the world, meet my wife 🥰❤️😍, travel to 5 countries, get into real estate, and then somehow start an online coaching business in between.
I’m so grateful for all that I’ve learned and all that I get to bring into the next exciting chapter in Nashville. I’ll be resting, living that freelancer life, and scaling my coaching business.

Here are some wins from recent clients who are diving into both beginner and advanced production, mixing and mastering for their original songs. 🎙️🔥
Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife! I’m more in love with you each and every day . The way you love Jesus, love people and pursue a life of adventure is so inspiring to me. You never settle for anything less than the best God has for you.
Can’t believe we were starting this adventure with each other over 7 months ago at the Santa Barbara Courthouse. Life is so special and I can’t imagine doing it with anyone else. ☀️
I just started reading books on songwriting again this past week. It’s been a while since I’ve devoted time to study the craft more deeply so I’m excited to dive in!
This quote stood out to me from “The Craft of Lyric Writing” by Sheila Davis.
Some of the best songs I’ve ever heard seem to have one thing in common - they speak to me directly.
It’s like the songwriter knows exactly what I’m going through, only to write a song just for me to hear at that very moment. In the midst of all my victories, troubles, joys, and fears, I’m able to just be present in the moment.
I have a vivid memory of Coldplay’s “Fix You” having this kind of impact on me.
What songs have impacted you in this way?

3 steps l’ve taken to consistently grow as an independent artist:
1.) Get connected to a like-minded music community.
- There are many great groups online in the sync industry!
- Seek out driven artists and producers who are going after their goals and eager to collaborate.
2.) Learn how to produce and mix your own high quality music.
- This will unlock your creative freedom and a fresh passion that will drive you to create more!
- Direct instruction brings accelerated growth - seek out skilled mentors for hands on training.
3.) Receive regular song feedback from industry professionals.
- Seek out A&R, sync agents, or even other artists who are further along than you.
- Let others pick apart your song and see feedback as an invitation for growth.
- This is why a music community is so important.

I was one of the many independent artists who felt stuck because of my lack of creative freedom, financial resources and overall direction.
I desperately wanted to pursue music, but I was dependent on paying other producers to create my best single and hoping it went viral.
It took me years of feeling powerless until I decided to take back control by becoming the producer.
I took multiple audio internships while teaching full time until starting my career as an audio engineer at a Grammy-winning music label.
As an artist, producer and audio engineer who also has years of teaching experience (and an active teaching credential), I developed a program where I pour out my knowledge in just 3 months.
My mentorship program is all one-on-one with me on Zoom and Muse collaboration software. No need for countless tutorial videos or group calls where you get lost in the crowd - I will personally teach you how to produce, mix and master like I’ve done for major labels and sync briefs.
If you currently have any of these goals:
✅ re-claiming your creative freedom
✅ building a large song catalog
✅ becoming the producer to save thousands
✅ growing through community & feedback
✅ getting song placements in TV & film
…and you’re ready to invest in yourself, 👉 DM me the word “PRODUCE”

It’s been a blast working with students on .io. It’s far superior to Zoom for music education because it gives me desktop control to make it feel like we are in the same room on mentorship calls.
This allows me to directly show a student how I EQ or edit a vocal, handle complex routing, mixing and more.
It even allows me to seamlessly transition from a teaching moment into a real time vocal recording session with a few mouse clicks. 🙌🔥

Once you unlock your creative freedom as an independent artist, making music becomes addicting and fun! Angela is one of my current production students and I've loved seeing her accelerate into becoming her own producer. 6 weeks ago, she knew nothing about audio gear, recording, mixing and production...she just had a keyboard and dozens of written songs that needed to be heard. Now she's producing her 3rd full song in Pro Tools (probably 4th by the time I'm posting this)!
Dynamic EQ is your friend when it comes to removing muddy or harsh frequencies without destroying the tone of your guitars. I use this method on vocals as well! My favorite plugin for this is FabFilter Pro Q 3 but there are many others for the job like the Waves F6. Tip: I just started experimenting with the F6 and it's a decent alternative if you don't want to drop the money on the FabFilter bundle just yet. What's your go-to EQ plugin right now?
