Recording artist and trumpet player Joel Ricci (aka Lucky Brown), conducts an ensemble of Seattle rhythm and funk musicians in a dynamic and engaging live public ceremony/spectacle. In the words of the artist: “Funkways’ mission is to commemorate, celebrate, and consecrate True Soul music as played from the heart, and to engender cultural health by promoting greater neighborhood social cohesion through the ancient practice of collective dance and community voice-raising."
