Today I took my Grandpa's 1946 LA back over to their house to store it for the winter. While there we got a picture of him and I with the tractor. He has dementia really bad, and I honestly expected it to be a big ordeal but he was (thankfully) having a good day. He hasn't seen this tractor in months, or driven it in years. It's been at my house all summer getting it running again. When he came outside he was thrilled to see it and kept repeating to me how happy he is that I've taken over showing these tractors and continue to restore them just like he did, and that he's proud. I've never heard him say that before today.
And that right there folks is why I do this.
