San Bernardino Immigration Protest
๐จ๐ชงAnti-ICE protesters took to the San Bernardino streets this evening, Feb. 3rd, at the intersection of Baseline Road and Mt. Vernon Avenue. The protest eventually made its way onto the 215 Freeway at the Baseline on-ramp/off-ramp in downtownโwith law enforcement aircraft urging people to stay off the road.
This gathering was part of a coordinated protest aligning with the one held in Los Angeles (which blocked the 101 freeway) and Riverside. Thoughts?

Rep Aguilar - Meals on Wheels
๐จ๐ฝ๏ธ Thousands of Inland Empire seniors could lose access to vital meal services as the Presidentโs funding freeze puts programs like Meals on Wheels in jeopardy. On Jan. 31, Rep. Pete Aguilar met with Family Service Associationโs Senior Nutrition Administrator to discuss the urgent need for federal support as nearly 2,500 San Bernardino County seniors (living on a fixed income) rely on these programs.
Potential cuts could mean stopped deliveries, skyrocketing waitlists, and empty pantries for the most vulnerable. Aguilar, who also helped distribute meals, is taking the fight to Washington, D.C. this week, vowing to push back against policies that threaten senior food security. During the call, she stated, โThis is an ongoing thing, and Iโve had enough. He pulled a knife on me already.โ Espinoza led officers on a pursuit that ended with a rollover crash before fleeing on foot in a residential area with two knives.
Many online claimed Espinoza was tased, preventing him from complying with commands; however, Upland PD says he was never tased. Police stated that the sound believed to be a taser was from Espinozaโs overturned vehicle. Less-lethal measures were used but proved ineffective. Investigations are ongoing.
