What a beautiful, easy and peaceful trail! It's also very well maintained, but pay attention it's marked, but can get turned around with all the other trails that branch off. Bonus was seeing the owl!

We were sorry to say goodbye! What a beautiful spot, friendly staff, and so many activities for kids and adults. It was RC weekend, and our son enjoyed watching the RC cars and boats, along with driving his own on the RC track. I do think the heated pool and slides were the kids' favorite. We will definitely be returning to Triple R Camping Resort and Trailer Sales

Do you enjoy staying at State Parks?
We do! It always seems like a slower pace of life. One of our favorite State Parks in New York is Oquaga Creek State Park. We had a fabulous time this Memorial Day weekend relaxing on the beach and disconnecting.

If you're ever in New Yorks Hudson Valley, you'll need to stop in the quaint town of New Paltz and head towards the historic Huguenot Street. We recently just visited this quaint, but bustling town and loved the history it had to offer.

So we did a thing... We went and bought a brand new 2023 Jayco Jayflight 331bts and are completely in love! It checked all our boxes

We have recently discovered the joys of ice skating, along with the dangers. This was the first year we took the kids ice skating, and to be honest, I've never been before either. We had so much fun until our son fell directly on his elbow, an Urgent Care and Orthopedic visit later, and we are in a soft cast for a couple of weeks. This won't stop us from continuing to learn, but elbow pads are definitely an accessory next time.

With Christmas fast approaching, we went out like we do every year to our local tree farm to pick out the perfect tree. To our delight, we found a beautiful tree that we loved right off the get-go.
Our kids love this tradition of hunting for the very best one in hopes we love their choice, too. Cole also enjoys that he gets to help cut the tree down and carry it out. But I think most of all they can't wait to decorate it with their own special box of ornaments. Each year, they take turns as to who gets to put the Christmas Star on the tree, this year, it was Isabella's turn.

As you may or may not know, November is diabetes awareness month, and our little girl was diagnosed 2 years ago with Type 1 Diabetes. No, it wasn't something we did or did not do. Type 1 Diabetes unlike Type 2, is an autoimmune disease and usually, but not always runs in family's.

As a parent, I believe we should all be aware of what to look for. Our clues were a number of these; excessive thirst, frequent urination including bed wetting, which wasn't a thing she ever did, tired, but what really gave it away for us was when her breath smelled like maple syrup and we knew she didn't have any.

Please don't brush these signs off as a hard weekend of play, or maybe they are coming down with a virus. There are around 64,000 people diagnosed yearly with Type 1 diabetes.

If you're looking for a waterfall with a view, checkout Verkeerderkill Falls!
We started at the visitors center, which has some educational items on display, along with a small store. We recommend you wear a comfortable pair of waterproof boats as the trail does have some spots that get flooded. It's also extremely rocky, so step with caution. But honestly, it was worth every rock and water obstacle . The views are beautiful, especially with the turning of the leaves and the waterfall breathtaking.

Tip: As you approach Verkerderkill falls, to get a better view, cross over the streams and continue on the trail to your right. What a view! 😍
