I've been in the digital media space full-time since 2006, witnessing many shifts in the space over the past 18 years. The current shift on Instagram is apparent – everyone is selling, claiming to have life-changing solutions, and showcasing remarkable success and now they can teach us how to do it if we just "click" here.

And we scroll, we see this again and again and again. This will shift as accounts like that are getting blocked, unfollowed and users are requesting not to see that type of sponsored or boosted advertising.

I go back to, authenticity wins. Yes, you (we) can "sell" online. That is why we are all here, to make money. However, give, give give content THEN ask for the sale. Not the opposite.

Stay social.
Be authentic.
Give. Give. Give.

As we inch closer to our 15th anniversary, we'll be debuting our new Socially Delivered website next week. We are no longer just a social media concierge agency. We are a marketing concierge with a sales focus. Yes, we do social media strategy and management, but now adding in Podcast support, Brand advisory, AI / Sales training, brand activations, focus groups, speaking, PR, and more.

I'm a self-confessed Francophile and I'm really looking forward to viewing the Olympics in Paris in a few weeks. My guess as this will be among the most "beautiful" and fashion-forward Olympics. Luxury Retailer Louis Vuitton will have a presence throughout the games.

The committee just announced the Olympic Medals
will be presented to winning athletes on a Louis Vuitton tray decorated with the French luxury house’s signature motifs.

Crafted by artisans at the Beaulieu-sur-Layon workshop in the Maine-et-Loire region, the trays’ exteriors boast the Maison’s timeless Damier canvas, created in 1888. Their interiors, meanwhile, are lined with matte black leather, a nod to the Louis Vuitton “Torches and Medals” Trunks. Each tray can hold two to six medals, all of which are designed by jeweler Chaumet.

“We wanted to contribute not just as a creative partner of the Opening Ceremony, but to be present throughout the event including the sporting part, and we found this way to be present that is very discreet and at the same time, paradoxically, very visible,” Antoine Arnault, LVMH’s head of communication, image and environment, told journalists at the Bulgari Hotel on Tuesday, via WWD. “I think the trays are beautiful and very Vuitton.”

In addition to the trays, Louis Vuitton has also created a unisex uniform for the medal bearers, which includes a polo shirt, loose pants, and a gavroche cap — nodding to the style tropes surrounding the 1924 Paris Olympics. “We have designed an elegant, sober, comfortable outfit so that the medal bearers can do their job in the best conditions with hundreds of millions of pairs of eyes around the world focused on them,” Arnault added.

In this case, Taylor Swift's digital team is still driving new ways to unlock virtual bracelets, gain more views and followers, build rapport and community and so much more. Bravo! Well done!

I'm noticing that Google and LinkedIn are really pushing me (us) to write with AI. I'm not liking it. The other day someone posted a recipe online and the recipe called for "GLUE" to make the cheese stick to the base of the recipe. This person was obviously using AI to generate the recipe.

AI is not where it needs to be to write content to represent us professionally let alone personally.

Gucci selected Top 5 Tennis Pro Jannik Sinner as their Global Brand Ambassador. Smart branding as not only is Jannik a true professional in every aspect, but the "views" that the bag gets every time he walks on the court whether it be in Madrid, Miami, Rome, Paris, or London he exposes the bag to fashion-conscious fans.
Good News, however! You don't have to be Gucci to do this.
If you are a local business why not feature a local college athlete in your campaigns, a local high school athlete, or a local valedictorian, or honor society student, or a local fireman, a teacher... it goes on and on.

As a sales and marketing professional, I'm always in awe of what Taylor Swift and her team do as they are ALWAYS breaking the boundaries. With the launch of her next album this week... they created a pop-up installation at the infamous GROVE shopping mall in Los Angeles. The installation has clues about songs and Taylor that Swifties will be sure to love. Genius!
