Library Adventures & Laser Tag Fun!

This Friday was a perfect blend of learning and play! We kicked things off with a visit to the library, where the “bigs” dove into books on CD—thanks to their new CD players they got for Christmas. After soaking up some stories, we headed to Murfreesboro for an action-packed afternoon filled with (laser tag, of course!) and some delicious Jack Brown’s Burgers.

It’s hard to say who had more fun— or the little ones! Either way, it was a day full of laughter, learning, and great memories.

Christmas time is often referred to as the season of light, which is true, but it is really the season of birth. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was born unto us! His birth made possible his eventual death for all of us. His death made it possible for all of us to have everlasting life. Having everlasting life requires, though, that we put to death behaviors, beliefs, and thoughts that do not align with the life that Jesus gives us. But in that death, just like Jesus, there is new birth. The Bible says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” Today, put to death what needs to be put to death because this is the season of birth.

This Christmas, our family chose to make a meaningful impact by helping to free a family from slavery. I share this not to draw attention to us, but to highlight an issue that many are unaware of. Sadly, the cost of freeing some slaves is less than $400—a small price to pay for a life of freedom. If you are looking for a way to make a lasting difference this holiday season, I encourage you to explore . It could be the most powerful gift you ever give.

There are more people who live in slavery alive today than during the entirety of the European/American slave trade.

Conservative estimates place this number at over 4.5M people in just Asia, including women and children.

We had an incredible time at .church Christmas, celebrating under one roof with thousands gathered at the Williamson County Ag Center for a powerful service! God is truly moving in this place, and we are filled with gratitude for His presence—Emmanuel, God with us.

In addition to an unforgettable Christmas celebration, we are excited to announce that our church has expanded to four services. Instead of taking on the financial burden of a new, larger building, our amazing leaders (Lead Pastor )have chosen to stay in our paid-off location and embrace the added responsibility. Why? Because we are committed to the mission of SAVING SOULS and SETTING PEOPLE FREE.

The staff could have opted for a bigger, more comfortable space, but instead, they are choosing to invest in people, both locally and globally. Rather than taking out a loan for a new building, we are investing in freeing slaves and souls, because the gospel and the mission are far more important than comfort.

We were also blessed to have worship with us during the celebration, adding to the joy and spirit of the season. We can’t wait to return to our four services next week!

So proud to call Conduit Church home, where faith, action, and the love of Christ are changing lives every day!
