Today, social media is more frequently used to tear others down or make us feel worse about ourselves than celebrate accomplishments or good news together. The more time we spend on social media, the more alone, bitter, and angry we feel. We were not meant to live life this way. The Bible tells us as much, encouraging us to always find rest and support first in Christ but also in other believers. Ecclesiastes puts it this way, “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” Even though we have Christ in our hearts, sometimes, because of our busy lives, we forget that even Christ surrounded himself with a group of people that supported Him. Christianity is a team sport and there are always more starting spots on the team. Today, if you feel disconnected or alone, get connected with other believers. Chance of severe weather this afternoon and evening friends ⛈️

Threats: Strong, damaging winds and large hail are the biggest concerns but a tornado can’t be entirely ruled out

Timing: This afternoon and evening, 2-9 PM

Thursday Afternoon Update

Please keep the prayers coming. Windley-Ray is better. However, T. Copeland and Ruthie-Bee still have a 100°+ fever. And I’m not 100%.

David is out of town. Last night, I called my dad and he arrived 2 hours later (11 pm)!! Superman!! Please pray PePaw stays healthy.

You can’t make this stuff up. I have three thermometers... and ALL three are now dead. And Walmart , Publix, all the stores are closed. THANKFULLY, our neighborhood has a page. I posted and someone has an extra!!

A warm front will move northward today, allowing temperatures to gradually rise from south to north, with the trend continuing overnight. Both today and tomorrow, we’ll have the potential for showers and thunderstorms, some of which may become strong to severe.

The primary concerns with these storms include damaging wind gusts, localized hail, and a low potential for a spin-up tornado. While the tornado threat is low, please stay weather aware.

PRAYER WARRIORS

Please lift up Windley-Ray!! Last night, took her to the ER due to a dangerously high fever, and after evaluation, it was confirmed that she has Flu A. She is now at home resting, but we ask for your prayers for a swift and full recovery.

And of course, even with a fever of 105°, she’s still smiling and being her sweet self — such a strong girl! Please also pray that this sickness does not spread through our household, and for protection and healing for everyone.

GOOD MORNING!!

Although today's temperatures will be slightly cooler compared to yesterday, we will continue to experience a spring-like feels. Throughout this week, highs are expected to remain 10-20 degrees above average.

In addition to the warm temperatures, we will also see some spring showers and thunderstorms. Wednesday afternoon through Thursday, there is potential for strong to severe storms, with the primary concern being damaging wind gusts. While the likelihood is low, a brief tornado cannot be entirely ruled out.

By next week, we will return to more typical seasonal temperatures.

Sunshine & Science!

Today’s science class was anything but ordinary — we took our lesson outdoors and got our hands a little dirty!

We discussed the differences between mud, dirt, and soil:
💧 Mud = Wet, often temporary, and messy.
🌍 Dirt = Displaced earth, often seen as undesirable.
🌱 Soil = Fertile, living material that supports plants.

And of course, we ended up with some good ol’ imaginary restaurant play! There’s no better way to learn than in the fresh air, surrounded by God’s creation.

Starting the day off with temperatures around the average high of 51°F, we’re in for a warm and sunny afternoon! With such a pleasant base temperature and plenty of sunshine, expect highs to soar into the upper 60s to low 70s across the area. 🌡️

In Nashville, we’re on track to get close to the record high of 75°F—set all the way back in 1890! Some areas might even hit that historic mark today. It’s shaping up to be a beautiful and warm day, so be sure to take advantage of it!
