Taking a look at our radar. First round of storms heading east. They should be out of the state early this afternoon. After that we will be watching for additional development later this afternoon into the evening.

As expected, the main line of showers and thunderstorms is starting to fall apart as it moves east. Some folks in western and central Iowa got some much needed rain from this line. Folks in Eastern Iowa, will still have a chance to see some storms, but they will be the spotty pop-up variety that has been seen the past few days.
Starting to see some pop-up showers and storms east of Cedar Rapids. We'll have a daily chance of these pop-up storms this week.
Our current temperature winners are in the areas where there has been less cloud cover earlier on in the day, where we're seeing some upper 60's to low 70's. Areas that have been stuck in the clouds are stuck in the low to mid 60's. Clouds are starting to filter into most of the state now
Thunderstorms starting to gain strength, and are pushing into portions of Eastern Iowa. Severe weather threat looks low, but heavy rain and some small hail are possible, especially if you get under a stronger cell. #iawx
