E61 with New Jersey's own punk rockers Jersey Calling. Josh, V, Randy, Sean, and Vinny sit down to discuss all things music. Jersey Calling started in the early 2000's, played for a few years, and was shelved until 2020. The crew came out roaring then. New music, albums, live shows, and, oh boy, let's talk about the live shows. Adjacent Festival with Blink 182, they played it. Atlantic City Beer Festival with Goldfinger, they played it. Next up is a sold-out Joey Ramone show at Bowery Electric in NYC. Don't forget, they're also playing the main stage at the MMRBQ in September. After that they can check off the "I Played with the Offspring" box. Stayed tuned for new music this summer with Pete Steinkopf from the Bouncing Souls! Jersey Calling is on the cusp of blowing up huge and it was awesome to talk with them. Give them a follow, check out a show, and let them know you heard them on Wild & Weird! Enjoy the show!

On this episode I'm joined by Leslie Shaw and Stephen Shaw, the authors of, Who They Are: And What They're Up To. Utilizing decades of research and study in ancient history, ufology, human evolution and even Tibetan Buddhism, they have woven together a fact-driven, eye-opening, and intriguing account of mankind’s true history and attempt to answer all of the most important questions about UFOs. We discuss UFO's, aliens, cattle mutilation, abductions, each personally witnessing a UFO, and Stephen being repeatedly visited by entities. Give Leslie and Stephen a follow and let them know you heard them on Wild & Weird. Enjoy the show!

E59! On this episode I’m joined by Justin from the Cryptids of the Corn podcast. This is one of my favorite discussions. We talk sky creatures! Not birds and pigeons or the occasional pterodactyl you’ll hear about flying above the Amazon. No, we’re talking gelatinous sky creatures that live high above. Sting rays, jelly fish, snakes, and octopus…octopuses…octopie? Justin has collected over 400 stories on these creatures and is in the process of writing a book. We also touch on UFOs, aliens, fake time in history and lots more. Give Justin a follow and let him know you heard him on Wild & Weird. Enjoy the show!

He has been involved with numerous TV shows, including Ghost Adventures, My Ghost Story, Dead Files, and Ghost Hunters. Our conversation covers Brian's volunteering on the USS Iowa and the ghosts he encounters on the ship. We also discuss his ghost hunting adventures and some of his findings. Give Brian a follow, check out his books, and let him know you heard him on Wild & Weird. Enjoy the show!

E57! On this episode I’m joined by Brandon Wright from the Tinfoil Tales podcast. Brandon and I discuss the podcast world for a bit and the dilemma of giving a guest a platform to discuss their personal experiences if there is a chance that experience is less supernatural and more a break from reality. We also cover Brandon’s own supernatural experience. Brandon and a former coworker came across a dog man in the middle of the road. Instead of continuing to drive on and wondering what they saw, Brandon turned around and went back for seconds! A fascinating encounter with an unknown creature. Give Brandon’s pod a listen, give him a follow and let him know you heard him on Wild and Weird. Enjoy the show!

E56! On this episode I’m joined by Ben Landis an independent DMT researcher. Ben is trying to prove the nature of reality in the DMT realm by using scientific experiments. I find this topic fascinating. This is the 56th episode I've released and by far this is a Top 2 banger. I appreciate every guest I've ever had on, but Episode 2 with Brent "Canadian Earthquake Researcher" Dmitruk, who predicts earthquakes and keeps posting the receipts on Twitter and IG and now Ben have made me think on these topics longer than anyone else. Ben is a modern day neuronaut. He's taken repeated DMT trips, not to talk to the machine elves and forget what they're saying when he returns to the "real" world, he's diving deeper. He's learning the rules of the DMT world and asking for more. The machine elves came and went. A sideshow entertainment attraction. Ben has made friends with an entity he has dubbed "The Gatekeeper." His friend allows him into this world, provides guidance on his mission, lets him know he's on the right track, and offers messages of love and acceptance. This is a great conversation with someone who is inquisitive and certain he can accomplish his goals. Give Ben a follow, check out his Discord, and let him know, you heard him on Wild & Weird. Enjoy the show!

E55! On this episode I'm joined by the hardcore band Measures. Hailing from Florence, NJ the fellas discuss coming together and making a name in a competitive business. Trevor, Jonah, and Shane give insight into how they started playing music, writing songs, and booking shows. I personally know Shane, so I was busting his chops about not letting me into the band especially since I have an awesome death metal scream. Luckily for you, my mic had other ideas and cut the majority of the dying cat noise, so I'm sorry if there was a hard edit in there as I removed the whole thing. An awesome conversation with a great group of guys. Stream their music, attend a show, and let them know you heard them on Wild & Weird. Enjoy the show!

E54! On this episode I'm joined by the editor of the Bigfoot Times newsletter, Daniel Perez. Daniel has been enthralled with the possibility of this famous cryptid ever since he was a young boy and saw the movie Legend of Boggy Creek. Daniel has the largest print collection of Bigfoot articles and on his website has an ever-evolving list of all books Bigfoot related. We discuss Daniel's squatchin' outings, the Patterson-Gimlin film, what type of evidence would be required to silence doubters, and why Bigfoot is so elusive to film and video. Stay up to date on Daniel's newsletter by bookmarking his website, sign up for the Bigfoot Times, and let him know you heard him on Wild & Weird. Enjoy the show!

22/03/2024

E53! On this episode I'm joined by horror author Hunter Shea. Hunter has written numerous books, and several involve cryptids. He's a man that's well researched in the topic, but then will write a fictional book about the Montauk Monster invading Long Island and eating the Real Housewives. I had an amazing time discussing all things weird and covering some of our favorite cryptids. Hunter has a book about the Jersey Devil and came down to the Pine Barrens to do research. He left less convinced there was a Jersey Devil, while pretty sure Bigfoot may work in the woods. The scariest thing though in the Pine Barrens, are the Pineys, and he's probably right about that. Give Hunter a follow everywhere, pick up a book or two, and let him know you heard him on Wild & Weird. Enjoy the show!

E52! On this episode I'm joined by Karen Prorok. Karen and I have been friends for a long time. We tried figuring out the exact number on the show but then we realized how old it was making it us, and immediately stopped! I love going to see live music, and countless times I've run into Karen randomly at shows. We discuss the 2024 Concert Calendar, focusing mainly on the Philly, NJ, and DE scene. We also cover the first concert each of us went to, the price of concert tickets, where all the local festivals have gone, Corey Feldman, shows we're going to, ones we would consider, and ones that we would skip. Even if you don't live in Delaware Valley, most of these shows are coming to your town too. Karen didn't give out her socials, so if you see someone stealing Jeff Ament's setlist before the show or someone lurking around the Deftones stage a little longer than most, it's probably Karen, so let her know you heard her on Wild & Weird. Enjoy the show!

E51! On this episode I'm joined by Chicago playwright and actress Kat Evans. Kat has a play premiering in Chicago May 5 & 7, 2024 that centers around. the true story, of Pastor David Swing being charged with heresy. Our conversation spans Chicago, the Fourth Presbyterian Church, spirituality, the role of religion in today’s society, and how politics may have filled that void. Kat is a phenomenal guest, and we had an actual conversation about topics that usually gets shouted down in the online world, it was a lot of fun, and I hope you give her a follow. Her play is free, but you do need tickets from Eventbrite, or you can stream online. When you meet up with Kat after the show, let her know you heard her on Wild & Weird. Enjoy the show!

E49! On this episode I'm joined by musician Mark Fisher. In the summer, Mark is probably a staple at your favorite Jersey Shore bar or maybe you've caught him at Shady's (sorry 814 South, once Shady's always Shady's) or any number of his regular haunts playing banger after banger. Mark's a dual threat, you can listen to him getting a crowd to sing along to all the hits or stream his original music on any platform. Mark and I discuss how someone breaks into the business, staying at a hostile in Key West between gigs and never knowing who your roommate is going to be, getting tired of playing Facebook Live shows during the pandemic and deciding to record your own original music instead. I've known Mark a long time and he's a good dude, give him a follow and if you see him jammin', tell him you heard him on Wild & Weird. Enjoy the show!

16/02/2024

E48! On this episode I’m joined by artist Amin Amat. Amin has created a graphic novel called The Road To: Volume 1 and is raising funds through Kickstarter. He takes a new spin on a classic tale, The Wizard of Oz. In Amin's adaptation of the Oz world, Dorothy is back in Kansas, the Wizard has moved on, the Scarecrow is mayor, and the winger monkeys have made their way to Kansas and are out for revenge! Amin is an amazing illustrator as you can see on his IG and Kickstarter pages. In addition to discussing his project, we cover his fond memories of snow in NYC and spending the day in comic shops (it's easier to do when you currently reside in Puerto Rico!), the dedication of time and space to appropriately fulfill creativity, how after a certain point the characters you create take on a life of their own and almost dictate the story to you, and because I need to get weird during a show, I get Amin's thoughts on created characters actually taking on a life of their own. That conversation leads down the yellow brick road of string theory. Amin was a great guest, and he has a cool project. If you're interested in helping the Kickstarter, check the show notes for the link. Give Amin a follow and let him know you heard him on Wild & Weird. Enjoy the show!

E47 on this episode Nico from the Chronspiracists Podcast returns and this time he's bringing his cohost Jesse. Nico is a fan of the high strange and has unique takes on the wild and weird topics. Jesse has a military and firefighting background. He's served in Afghanistan and fought fires in the Pacific Northwest. That means we're covering the Maui fires, giants of Kandahar, skunk ape, strange lights in the sky, and the nightmare fuel that keeps Twitter feeds blazing. An awesome convo with two good dudes. Give them a follow and let them know you heard them on Wild & Weird. Enjoy the show!

E46! The post is late, but the show went up on time! On this episode I'm joined by Shane Mishler, the Chief Operating Officer of SD Tech. SD Tech is a San Antonio based IT company offering managed service support. From VoIP, encryption, RAID, and all the other buzzwords I can throw at you, they handle. But here's the thing, very little of our conversation involved this. Let me be honest, most of these conversations involve me doing minimal background research on the topic. It's just people talking. I know the wild and weird stuff in and out. The normal stuff is giving the guest room to cook and see where it goes. And boy does this one go, because Shane loves the high strange. We discuss Miami mall aliens, cryptids, interdimensional beings, the Mandela effect and more. But because we're well-rounded individuals we cover the abilities of SD Tech and how they've grown their business to include a franchise model. Truly a fun conversation and I'm happy Shane was willing to take the ride. Give Shane a follow and let him know you heard him on Wild & Weird. Enjoy the show!

E45! On this episode I'm joined by sci-fi author R.M. Almonte (R.M. Almonte Publishing). R.M. is the author of the United Earth series, as well as Scratching the Cosmic Conscious. Born to Dominican parents and raised in NYC, Ramon has an interesting history with the strange. His father would stare at the Dominican sky looking for UFOs, his mother would put protection spells on him, his grandmother fought off a changeling trying to steal one of her children, and his own personal experiences with ghosts, strange dreams, and moments of absolute clarity that pushed him on his current path. Ramon has experienced a lot and is familiar with even more. A truly awesome conversation with an interesting man. Expect to see him again on future episodes. Give R.M. a follow and let him know you heard him on Wild & Weird. Enjoy the show!

E44! On this episode I'm joined by Aditya Varanasi. Aditya is the founder and CEO of Awarity Digital Advertising. We have a fascinating conversation about marketing in general, but for Awarity's case, specifically, the small to mid-size business looking to capitalize on growing their clientele. As with all my shows I was able to dive into some strange topics. Aditya wasn't fully sure if our electronic overlords were always listening to us, but...spoiler alert, they usually are. Check the show notes for a news article about a suspected murderer having his Alexa voice recording records subpoenaed. We also discuss if companies can market their product to us close to real time based on our conversations, how commercials on streaming channels can be specifically marketed to you. Give Aditya and Awarity a follow and let them know you heard them on Wild & Weird. Enjoy the show!

12/01/2024

E43! On this episode I'm joined by John Kirwin. John is the author of The Conspiracy Theorist Survival Guide: A Guidebook For Persecuted Truthers. John went from your typical normal family man to a full blown red pilled ju**ie. Once some truths were uncovered for John, he couldn't resist looking for more of them. The more mainstream narrative rocks that he overturned, the more he found the truth about certain topics. Once he had this knowledge, he leaned on his background as a pastor, and spread the word. Well, unfortunately, this truth cost him his family. Not everyone is on the same timeline to wake up to the wool that has been pulled over our eyes. John was left with an ultimatum, shut up or your family is leaving. Fast forward a few years and John has a YouTube channel with worldwide subscribers, he has a book that is tearing up the charts in the alternative community, and this man has broken free from the chains of the United States Corporation. Listen as we discuss John's red pill journey, weighing hopium vs. realistic expectations, the Mandela Effect and becoming your own citizen. Check out John's book and YouTube channel and let him know you heard him on Wild and Weird. Enjoy the show!

E39 is out! On this episode I'm joined by punk rocker Joe McCarthy who goes by Rusty Pigeon. Joe performs solo, as well as in band, all under the Rusty Pigeon moniker. Joe has been going at this for, what seems like, forever. We talk music, growing up listening to metal in the ‘80s, skateboarding, South Philly, basketball, whiskey, moving out to the suburbs, and taking your kids to shows and watching them stage dive. This quickly went from an interview, to feeling like old friends catching up. Give Joe and his Rusty Pigeon account a follow and let him know you heard him on Wild & Weird. E38 is out! On this episode I'm joined by Payhuan Shoul founder of Immortal Studios. Payhuan and Immortal Studios are looking to turn the page on the superhero genre and move onto personal heroes. With a focus on martial arts and self-development Payhuan has already created four comics that explore the realms of his world. Besides discussing Immortal Studios, we also cover the philosophy that everything is absorbed by your body. The music we listen to affects our mood, the food we eat affects our physical health, the social media we scroll affects our mental well-being. With the world at your fingertips and corporations realizing that fear and anxiety drive profits, people today are more lost than ever. Payhuan and Immortal Studios are offering an alternative. This involves personal responsibility, self-discipline, and the greater good. Just a great conversation with a truly interesting individual. We also get into best photo evidence for UFOs, favorite cryptids, and discuss a little mud flood. Jamie even has first-hand experience seeing a store front with doors and windows in the basement of a Philadelphia marketing agency! Truly, an amazing story. E34 is here! On this episode I'm joined by Taylor Warner from the True Crime & Coffee blog. Taylor has numerous cases on her page and using the term “deep dive” seems too shallow to encompass her work. These cases are researched thoroughly and exhaustively. Taylor goes back to source information to gather the details on the case, the background on the killer/suspects, the reactions from the family, the police reports; really everything. We discuss two cases, the Girl Scout Murders and the West Memphis 3, on the pod and mix in some talk about OJ and the Natalie Holloway case among others. Taylor was an awesome guest and I hope to have her back to talk cults! Give her a follow and let her know you heard her on Wild & Weird. Streaming everywhere. Listen, rate, review, share, repeat.
