ATTENTION GEORGIA WRESTLING FANS, we are LOOKING FOR ANSWERS for our Regional Rasslin program with Jammie Ward. The Freebirds were prominently featured in Georgia from their arrival in 1980 through October 1981 when Hayes won the Baby Bottle match vs. Terry Gordy. Then, the Birds feud abruptly ended, they were pushed far down the card into prelim like matches on the following Omni card. It seemed like Ole didn't have interest in keeping them in their spots per se... My question to those who may have read something or seen a "shoot" interview... Does anyone have any info as to why the Birds push was squashed in Georgia?
