Aubrey is a wonderful 13 year old girl. She loves the outdoors especially riding 4 wheelers and bow fishing! She is also a very talented artist! Aubrey started 8th grade on August 4th, 2022. On the night of August 5th she went bow fishing with her Dad and little brother. She fell backwards in the boat and an arrow went in her neck and punctured her spinal cord around C3. While we have lots of hope...right now she has basically no movement below her shoulders. She lives in western KY. She spent 13 days at Vanderbilt children's hospital in Nashville and is now at a great rehab hospital in Atlanta. On the 2nd day in the hospital she was worried about how expensive this was going to be. Her parents have insurance but it's still going to be a lot. There was a helicopter ride to Nashville, 13 days in that hospital, an ambulance from Nashville to Atlanta and probably 2 months there. Also whatever medical equipment she will need when she comes home. Her bedroom and the bathroom will have to be enlarged to be accessible for her. This family has been through a lot and we are going to need help. Thank you!
