David Sanborn RIP - Thank you for all the music and the inspiration you gave me! I couldn't get enough of his playing as a young musician. Saw him live countless times. The deep passion and soul he put into every single solo helped me become the player I am today. It was hard to post just one video of him, but this one (in the comments) may say it all. Watch how Clapton and Crow respond. Feel free to post other favorites.
I literally played on a Bobby Dukoff metal mouthpiece through my 20's and 30's because I wanted to sound like him.
Men - Please get a PSA test annually! If you detect this form of cancer before it spreads, you have a good chance of dealing with it. I have lost several close friends to this one.
I am posting a link to my good buddy's non profit that he started to help raise money for musicians to get tested annually. The organization "Funk Cancer" is posted in the comments. I have donated and I hope you can too or at least let people know.
Tune in TONIGHT and every Sunday 7-9 pm MST - KSUT.org
