O Lord, You created all things to be in relationship with You. At La Salette, Our Lady reminded us to live as Your creation because we have been reconciled through her Son. In her message, Our Lady gently urged us to pray, respect and focus on You, and to help others see You in daily life.
Especially in this year of prayer, help the La Salettes fulfill our mission of bringing others into relationship with You, and be reconciled with You, because only with You will we find true purpose and happiness. Amen.

While Melanie and Maximin slept, the cows remained safe on the hillside.
O Lord, help us to know in our hearts that you care for and watch over us always. At La Salette we saw how your gentle hand guided the herd while the children slept so they would be attentive to Your Mother's message of hope. Increase our trust in Your love for us as we strive to do Your will.

It is Christ who brought us peace; Christ who bequeathed it to us: “Peace I leave with you: my peace I give you: not as the world gives, do I give to you.” Let us then pray with all fervor for this peace which our divine Redeemer came to bring us. May he banish from our souls whatever might endanger peace. May He transform us into witnesses of truth, justice and love. May God illumine with light the minds of rulers, so that, besides caring for the material welfare of their peoples, they may also guarantee them the fairest gift of peace. Finally, may Christ inflame the desire of all people to break through the barriers that divide them, to strengthen the bonds of mutual love, to learn to understand one another, and to pardon those who have done them wrong. Through His power and inspiration may all people welcome each other into their hearts, and may the peace we long for ever flow and ever reign among us. Amen.

Christmas bilingual Virtual Concert Tuesday January 5th, 8 pm

If you missed the Christmas Concert with Silvio Cuellar & Deysi Estrada you can watch a Facebook Live with some selections from their Christmas concert Tuesday, January 5th at 8:00 pm. Silvio Cuellar is a composer with OCP Publications, the Coordinator of Hispanic Ministry of the Diocese of Providence, and Music Director of St. Patrick Church in Providence, RI. Deysi Estrada is a wonderful young Catholic singer, cantor, and a leader of the Youth Group at St. Patrick Church in Providence, RI. For the past year, Silvio has been leading the music at the bilingual Mass of the Shrine on the second Sunday of the month. The next Mass is this coming Sunday, January 10th, at 5 pm.

September 19, 1846

High in the French Alps, two children were shepherding cattle when they saw a bright light below them on the mountainside. As they neared, they realized it was a beautiful woman crying. She said, “Come near my children, do not be afraid. I am here to tell you great news….If people are converted, rocks and stones will turn into heaps of wheat, and potatoes will be self-sown in the fields….Well, my children, you will make this known to all my people.” The beautiful lady turned, walked up the mountain, and rose into the sky.

That evening the children returned home and spoke about what they had seen and heard. Soon, the whole town wanted to hear the story and the children told it again and again.
